I suffer from severe osteoarthritis, and since 1971 I've been on everything Percodan, Percocet, Talwin, T-3's, T-4's, and now Oxycontin.Even the little red & white capsules which contain the THC, called Tramadol . So many other pain meds that I've lost track of their names.
Had two lower back surgeries, which only made things worse.
Went to the Symthe Pain Clinic at TGH for over 15 years, and still found no relief from the pain.
For approximately the past 20 years I've been seeing one of the top pain specialists in all of Canada. He's willing to write scribes of Oxycontin 20 mg, that are so large that most pharmacies either are not willing to fill scribes of 500 to 1000 pills, or just don't have that many on hand.
However, he's not willing to allow me or any of his other patients to use Marijuana because of his belief that Marijuana has too many psychotic effects.

Marijuana doesn't take my pain completely away, but it sure helps ease it, and make life more bearable.

I live in the High Park area (Bloor-Keele) and have been looking for a doctor willing to sign the papers needed so that I can get the right to use Marijuana . I'm also looking for a new GP, having moved here from Vancouver a little over two years ago. The GP I have now isn't very good a doctor overall, and almost isn't willing to acknowledge the fact that I am in pain.

So please people, PLEASE HELP me find a caring GP who's willing to take on a new patient in severe pain, and also has more medical problems that need to be addressed.

Try Dr David Saul 80 Finch Street West; not far from Yonge St @ Finch Station. He is a specialist in fibromyalgia and acute fatigue syndrome but, will help most people get their "Hellth Canada" medical marijuana access application fully completed. Dr Saul is compassionate and extremely competent. He should not be confused with a psychiatrist of the same name way out on Finch Street East
... :peace:
