Looking for a little advice: out of control White Widows

Hey Team!

I have some beautiful ww in veg, they're not able to get into the flower room for another 3 weeks or so, and they're way too tall.

they're in hempy and every time i feed them they grow over night its insane. they're quadlined and i had them tied down until they got too wide and i let them loose. i've already topped the once, literally cut them down to half and they replied with some serious piss and vinegar.

so now my plan is to put them into the flower tent when the time comes and top them again the same day i flip. hoping this helps control the stretch and keeps them at a nicer height. i've also considered tying them down again once i'm in the flower tent they'll have more room.

But, i'm on the fence and i'm sure there's things i'm not thinking about or able to find in a quick google search.

Hi Remey. I had the same problem, 2 White Widows overtook my 2 AK47 plants, when the buds where just taking off, during the 12/12 light cycle.
So I , a lot, took a deep breath then just pinched them gently in the spot at the height I wanted them to go down to. Wrapped the bend gently in Saran Wrap and prayed a lot that week.

Pics attached showing day one of bend on one of the plants and then week 5 of flowering.
The ladies took off like crazy after the little break/bend, and I had to tie the bent cola stems back down on both plants to stop them from reaching higher again. Gotta love White Widow for its toughness.

Beautiful buds. I'll be moving them from the 5x5 to the 4x8 so i was thinking I might have enough side room to bend them all a bit, but i'm not sure if there's room the bend them as low as i'd like.

I just ordered 2 scrog nets. i've never used one before on account of always hand watering and i really don't feel like destroying my entire tent in a fit of closterfobic, cramped space rage LMAO.

but i jut set up a sweet watering wand so i think it could work now. so i'm considering topping them very low adding the screen and flipping the same day. if i go this route it'll be part experiment in that i'm very curious if i can control or even eliminate the stretch this way. i started out with 4 mains per plant, now i can't even count the bud sites.
might try a serious defol and lollipop the same day as flip too. I never, ever take enough off the bottom and end up with a bunch of rasta dreds hanging down low lol.

I'm really looking for thicker shorter branches. probably looking for that in the wrong strain tho
