Longtime listener, first time caller

Hello Folks,

This is what led me here.

I have enjoyed cannabis, or what we used to call weed, bud, creddy, Hawiiano, Hilo Green, Kindbud or ditch for few weeks short of five decades. Holy Smokes... No pun intended... I have spent a lot of time around the stuff. And during this time I have been exposed to the entire range of cannabis that the formerly known as weed world had to offer. The good. The bad. And the Ugly. However, one thing has always never changed from the first time I took a satisfying toke on a pipe in my friend's back yard on a warm evening during the summer of 1987, and that was to one day fill that pipe with bud that I grew myself... Shit, that would blow people away and in turn, let them have a better day.

It took me another 30 years to act on that desire to grow my own plants and accomplish something I have always dreamed about doing. However, just because someone has drunk fine wine for 30 years, and knows fine wine as well as anyone, doesn't mean that same person could actually produce that same wine they can readily suss out through taste, smell and looks as exceptional in quality. That person has to learn the technique of winemaking first.

It is my hope that the cultivation knowledge of this community will help me hone my techniques in the garden so that I can produce the best possible flower the genetics allow. Because right now, my garden is a testament to inefficiency that is doing ok mainly because I have good lights and genetics. I am currently in the later stages of my second grow and feel like an extra-set of eyes couldnt hurt.

BTW the grow consists of 2 Seedsman Cheese, 1 Big Bang and 2 Dr. Grinspoon's. I am just about to begin week 5 of flower.

Thanks

Welcome to :420: .

Please find link in my signature for new Members. It will help get you started in a journal so we can follow your grow and the experts will come and help out.

We like pics. Natural light if possible and let the experts know as much details as possible.

Thanks. I will get to it tomorrow after work. My girls are in darkness right now so I will snap some shots tomorrow and put em in a journal. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I have been up all night reading what little is out there on growing Dr. Grinny and its time for me to knock out before its time to get up for work. Peace.

Welcome to 420Mag ...IMO, I would wait for the next grow to make a journal, sense you're already in week 5 of flower...but we still like pics of pretty buds :thumb: ...and is that week 5 from 12/12 flip or when you noticed pistil buttons?

I agree about the grow journal for this one but I still plan to put some pics up just for general observation. I am 5 weeks from flip to 12/12 after a six-week veg. As a point of reference, I started germination on Monday September 9.

Welcome No. Though I fall into what your name is describing I think and hope we're going to be ok. You'll find all that here. Good luck! I have a Big bang auto started right now. Looks like a cabbage at 2 weeks. I need to update pics.

If you were one of those people my moniker references then you would not be here sharing and soaking up knowledge. You would be on the phone talking to your banker about sinking another 150 million into one of the plethora of cannabis conglomerates hemorrhaging money right now as they suck all the life and money out of the (I hate this name"GREEN RUSH."

That is funny that you said you Big Bang looks like a little cabbage. What an apt description. It is one leafy strain.

I will post some pics when i get home from work.Later.

Caught me. Nice to meet you. I have to get busy in the tents myself. It's nuts here lately. Chopping the last 2 DDA's tomorrow is a start. You going over to journals to start one?

ou going over to journals to start one?
I was advised and i agree that I might be a little deep in the game to do that. However I plan to post some pics of the grow as of this minute. Hopefully, I dont embarrass myself with novice-level ability when it comes to growing plants.
