What kind of light can I use for the budding stage? I have a 400 watt mh goin right now and I also own about 4 or 5 Cfl's.

Any body got any ideas.................oh, I can't afford a HPS light.

yeah around 80 bucks. $100 if you go with hortilux hps (which is nice)

Do CFL's work better for budding than a MH or will it just help the process by adding the CFL's with the MH to produce more light. I don't know somebody help.

if you go to home depot you can buy (2) CFL spiral 2700K bulbs-use 23watts & provide 100watts for $8.00, the brand name is 'n:vision' in a green/white blister pack. 2700K is flowering red light, add that to your 400 MH & I think you'll be fine. Keep the CFLs close to plants for more lumens available to plants. Any CFLs around 2700-3000K would do it I think.......
