Lighting?

Im growing one plant in mmy closet but only for the the first couple weeks then im moving it outdoors. Since im not dong the entire plant indoors i dont want to spend a lot of money on lighting. I think that the best to work with is compact fluorescents. I probably am going to use those anyways but i wanted to know if anyone has any reason not to use CFL?

compact flouros are great. go with them.

yeah dude, all i use is flouro and my plants grow fast and bushy- go with flouro

What are the compact ones? Are they the double tubed ones? How many should I use? Should I use Cool White tubes? What size of ballast should I use, the 3 foot ones? I guess the bigger the better right? Sorry for all the questions.
