OK guys i need all suggestions. Im going either light shopping or soil shopping depending on what my budget is.

Im only working with 15.00 max

Soil is not a must right now, im already using some.

Lights is a must, in my concern.

Nuts is a must too.

Lowes store is my only option in my area so it would be helpful if yall can visit the site and pin point out what i should get....

so what should i get 1st ?

if im right, i dont think i would have enough to get lamp and light bulb, light bulb alone cost 9.00+

Re: Light/soil shopping ?

Lumens count the most. More is better, and it's not possible to have too much.

The lower color temperature is better for flowering, the higher color temperature is better for growth. The 3500K lamp will work for both.

THANKS! Finally i got a response before i go to the store early in morning....Before my lady lights cut on. But yea, i was going to go with the last light too as well, since it shoots out the highest watts out the group even tho the second one has more K's in it but it only shoots out 75w ;[.

So the last one it is.....If i find another one in the store while im looking that shoots out more watts or has the same watts as the last one but has more K's ill get it vise versa. I calculated up the cost, im hoping or guessing that will leave me wit at least $3+ to get a 8qt Mircale-Gro Perlite for $2.98, Even though the soil that i chnaged in my Journal today already had Perlite or something close to it with the white balls/moss in it.(Wouldnt hurt to add some more freshly baught from the store)

Other then that, that basically answers my thread question. Next to buy on my list is some nuts and mabye a diff soil to mix with what i already have + a 1-2 gallon pot.

1 more question is open if anybody would fill free to answer because after 8am today i will be headed to the store and the lights question would be usless to answer since only 1 person answerd it for me.

But anways....
Q 1.I was reading on here in the How To's thread...about UVA & UVB Lights are "believed, and has been shown, to have a positive influence on the potency of Cannabis." - 8th Line

Is this actually tru? cuz right now im using a 18" 15w Flourecent tube that has UVB/UVA in it. If is tru then would it hurt if i use that and my CFL together?

Re: Light/soil shopping ?

Those clamp on lights work BUT
you need to get the ones that have ceramic bases, not the plastic.
It's a safety thing. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I think it's the combo of UV and
the angle at which it hits the trichromes.
Work on the basics then Go for the advanced :cheesygrinsmiley:

OK thanks... Yea i just came back from the store not too long ago, got everything. I notice after your reply that the reflecter is some what plastic but i can always remove it and just hang the CLF over top of the plant. But i doubt the bulb would get that hot to even melt this type of plastic. As for the UV, ill just keep it on since i already have it.(it wouldnt hurt it)

some 1 could close this thread all answer were answerd THANKS every 1.

Re: Light/soil shopping ?

If you can't afford to put more than 15 dollars into it, you really should wait. I made that mistake my first grow and it cost me bigtime.
