Legitimate Fox Farms Trio For Hydroponics

I'm using Fox Farms trio in my dwc setup. I'm following their guide, but at 1/3 strength, but I'm showing some nitrogen deficiency in one of my plants. I have 3 and they all get the same amount.

I know some folks hate this line, but it was my first grow and I assumed that a lot of people used it, so I should be able to get concise answers about using it in a hydroponics setup.

I was wrong to assume this.

My question is for those using the fox farms trio in a dwc setup only.

What is your feeding schedule with the correct amount of nutrients?

A lot of people have dwc setups and use this line of nutrients, so I'm hoping one or two of you can answer this for me.

Check out my grow log if you'd like to help out a new grower. I have a nice, clean setup, but no experience!!!

Is this the schedule you're going by? And you're using the grow big HYDRO specifically? I have a ton of experience with Fox Farms but when I switched to dwc, I switched to gen hydro. That being said, based on my experience, you should be following that chart at 50% and adjust from there. At 33% now, she's probably not getting enough. The other 2 may not being showing deficiencies but they could probably use more. In dwc I'd rather have a smidge of tip burn then be under feeding. The beauty of dwc is that if you're on top of it, it is so quick to fix. If you notice some slight nute burn, add plain water to your res to bring your ec down a bit.

I use GH, but I don’t water it down. I feed according to their schedule. I’ve never had a nutrient issue. My opinion is that hydro needs nutes more than soil.

Yes, that's the chart. I really appreciate you taking the time to discuss this. I know there is a lot of bro science out there, but it's a bit overwhelming trying to learn how to grow on your own, privately in an illegal state, and not get fed incorrect information. Half the time when you post an image of an issue, you get conflicting information.

I am going to raise my nutrients. Last night I gave them a little dose of Grow Big and this morning they have responded well to it.

I will up the nutrients this weekend when they're due for a water change. I change my buckets every week.

In your opinion, where is a good read to where I can learn to feed based on what they show that they want? I have a Blue Lab meter, so I feel like I got a good meter to test with.

I really want to learn how to do this, so I don't have to depend on shady dealers for good smoke. I'm 50 years old and not a teen trying to grow in a shoe box. lol

Thank you. I do appreciate your time. If you have a moment, I'd appreciate if you'd scroll through my grow and see if you can offer me some advise.

I planned on using GH, but the hydroponic store gave me the Monsanto scare when I went to purchase it. I thought if I went with GH or FF, there'd be a ton of information using it with hydro, but I just keep running into conflicting information.

I am not 100% certain that I have a nutrient issue, as I was told that it looks like my blemishes looks like nutrient solution splashed on them. The blemish looks like it could be burns, and not something the plant is doing. Out of the 3 plants, only 1 is looking bad. It even started out with uglly leaves pointing up. It has been a runt it's entire time, so it could be genetics.

This is my first grow and I am using some bag seed to learn with. I have some good strains I ordered online, but want to do a test run to work out the kinks.

Perhaps you using it at 1/3 strength is leading to the nitrogen deficiency? Just a wild guess of course. ;)
I am sure you are correct. I was following everyone's less is more approach. I am going to raise their nutrient levels this Sunday when I change out my buckets.

what you need is a ppm guage everybodys water has different amounts of nutrients in it so until you know whats in your water you cant know how much nutes you need. get a parts per million meter on amazon and make sure to follow that chart more so than measurements by tsp or tbsp. it tells you when you reach the proper nute levels in digital readings then you will have total control of your grow
