In CA, even if you had a prescription could your home be taken from you by the federal govn?

Yes. The med cards are state controlled and recognized and the fed forfeiture laws are federally controlled.

Forfeiture statutes are used by the Feds to sieze assets that were acquired with the proceeds from criminal activities.

If you have cash on hand beyond a means test, or are trying to pay for your house by the proceeds from a grow op - you could be at risk

If you are buying your house from legaly earned wages and your MMJ activities are personal I wouldn't worry about it.

The closest I've heard the fed's come to asset forfeiture is threatening the landlords of the compassion centers if they let the MMJ dispensaries continue to operate.

Thanks for the replies. It's very frusterating, finally getting the state to jump on board then to wonder what could happen if the Fed knock on some poor guys door.

One day cannabis will be rescheduled and this country will be a much better place. Tons and tons of "criminals" out of jail and prison, and everybody will be and therefore more peaceful and we can all get along
