LED too close?

Using a 600w 270 true watt LED grow light haven’t seen anything much in the way of vertical growth past couple days I toooed them so I expected a daycor so of stress but this seems off they look healthy no burning or anything just kind of sucking up the light they are in pro mix hp using advanced nutrients lots of air flow and temps are acceptable the Rh is low cuz of the winter but I have been doing what I can to fight it this has just been puzzling me for a day or so now it’s time to ask around let me know what you think oh yea and the girls are about 3 weeks just starting their veg

Maybe changing to a primarily blue spectrum may help?

They look good to me how far away is your light is there a manufacturer recommended distance

im not to familiar with leds is there a separate bloom and veg switch

Yes there are switches the veg (blue) uses only about half the wattage and the recommended distance for veg is 36-28” I have it at 33”

33 inches sounds pretty far away they are probably not getting enough light I would lower your light to about 24 inches and watch them for a couple of days and see how they respond

Okay thank you i will try that out for sure and will post a few more photos of how they take the intensity maybe you guys can catch something sooner than I will I really appreciate your input in helping me solve this

And I know it seemed a bit fat too me as well I will drop the light now just before bed time for the girls and give them a crash day at a new intensity

I dropped it to 28” for now see how they respond that is the closest for veg the manufacturer says if thebstill look they can take more I’ll drop it over the next few days

The girls seem happy today they are likening the closet light had to order a new fan tho the heat is a little too much in the low 80s higher than I like hope the inline fan come soon
