HI,I was in hospital and a mate went round to sort plants out.He has cut 80% of the leave which are in 3rd week of flowering. Is this bad.

Green acres..are they useless now, only leaves that are left are the small ones near buds.shall they be dumped and start again from scratch

The large fan leaves are the major solar panels of the plant. Without them the process of photosynthesis becomes very difficult for the plant to accomplish efficiently.

But as others have said, let them grow and see what happens. No sense in wasting all that effort. And a lesson learned, get your buddy on here for an education or keep him out of your grow room. :peace:

like the joke.all the leaves that are left are new ones coming.plenty of buds on plants.do i still keep them in flowering room until there a big leaves on plants again. Thanks for taking the time and patience to reply to someone who dosent know much about these things

The buds will have a hard time maturing without the large fan leaves. Because you are in the flowering phase, it is safe to say that you will not see the smaller leaves grow into larger ones as a replacement for those lost. The plant grows out the large fan leaves during the veg. phase and that time has passed. The plant is now working mostly on the buds and needs the fan leaves to provide solar energy to the plant for the purpose of photosyntesis.

Theres no doubt your now working at a detrement having lost these leaves. However, cannabis is a very hardy plant and most of them find a way to prevail even in the most compromising circumstances. Grow them out, see what you get, and learn from your mistakes... or should I say, your friends mistake. :cheesygrinsmiley:
