Leaves curling up very quickly

Hi Guys, wonder if anyone can shed some light on this.

I have 2 autos under a small led set up in an old fridge. they have been growing pretty well so far but today my biggest plant reacted strangely. When i got home and checked they were fine, i took one out to photo it and spray and after doing so when i returned it the other plant had curled its leaves up in a matter of about 30 seconds. when i took it out and sprayed it it uncurled?

thought it might be to high temp - 28-31 c so i have opened the door a crack

Any help would be much appriciato

How far are they from the light? Does it get any air circulation (fan pushing air out, vent/or forced air coming in)? 31 C (mid 80's F, though it does depend on the strain a lot as they all have different likes/dislikes) is getting close to being hotter than they care for especially in an enclosed environment (outside a bit different).

the light is a led panel only 45w and its about 8 inches away from the plant. I have a fan inside the fridge to circulate the air but i dont have any kind of external venting apart from leaving the door open slightly. I am going to try and fathom some kind of ventilation but was trying to keep the fridge pretty much intact to help with the smell and also so i dont end up letting all the nasty gasses inside escape into the air.

I'd think you're right with the temperature being the issue.

thanks thats what i was thinking , just found it very strange that it was fine inside the warm fridge and only curled up when the door was opened and fresh cool air let in?

They do need fresh air, and the bigger they get the more they are going to want. Most folks aim for replacing the air in their grow room every couple minutes, some aim for changing it ever minute (or 2x a minute) far as their outlet fan CFM rating (not sure what the minimum is, and like everything in life you will probably see different numbers from different folks). Probably the heat, my LED more watts so father away, sometimes they will do that with the leaves if light it too close also.

looks lm gonna have to rethink things. The idea was to keep it kinda stealth so to a passing glance its just a fridge. Where I live the police have said they will not be looking to prosecute any one using or growing for personal consumption, but i dont want to broadcast what im doing to my neighborhood.

I was hoping to only have to make some vent holes in the door which I could mask with a grill or mesh but adding ventilation + filter pipes would mean having to cut holes in the rear and then id have to remove the gas inside it.

both strains are small varieties - 1 is a royald warf and the other is an easy bud - both autos from royals seeds and are only supposed to grow to around 60cm

Post some pics of the current setup. Someone can suggest mods while keeping it stealth. There are some fairly quiet PC fans you could use. If you rigged up a small filter inside and PC fans you could accomplish what you want. If smell isn't a big deal, small fans alone will do the trick.
