Leaf curl & death - Not pH - Not temp - Not nutes?

8/15/16 :surrender::helpsmilie::adore: I got too arrogant and cocky and thought I could fix this myself. Wrong!
4 weeks into flower and I'm having issues!

What Strain is it? Nirvana - Supreme CBD Kush
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages? 70/30 Sativa
How Many Plants? 2
Is it in Vegetative or Flowering Stage? Flower
If in Vegetative Stage... How Long? 6-7 weeks?? weeks
If in Flowering Stage... How Long? 4 weeks
Indoor or Outdoor? indoor
Soil or Hydro? Hydro
If Hydro, Reservoir size? started with 5 gal. smart pots
If Hydro, Reservoir Temperature? 74-78f
If Hydro, what type of Medium? 70/30 coco/perlite
If Hydro, what type of Setup? DTW - nutes mixed 50 gal. at a time
Size (Wattage) of Light? How Many? 2X Mars 2 900 watt (730 true watt X 2)
Is it Air Cooled? Yes
Temperature of Room/Cabinet? 78 - 84f
RH of Room/Cabinet?60-75%
PH of Medium or Reservoir? 5.9
Any Pests? No
How Often are you Watering? daily
Type and Strength of Fertilizers used? SNS 209 13.5 oz per 50 gal.
Size or Square Footage of Room? 30"X60"X78"

The nutes: GH Flora Nova Bloom
Canna Cannazyme
GH CaLimajic
GH Koolbloom
GO Bio Root
SuperThrive

All this combined with the SNS 209 are mixed to a total TDS of 1170 ppm with a Ph of 5.7-5.9 and hand fed once a night an hour after 'lights on'. This mixture has worked well for me for the last 7-8 strains and a couple dozen plants with little or no issue, so I'm at a loss.

At this point, I have been loosing leafs for about 3 weeks on my two girls. It started on the lowest fan leafs and soon into the lower, young growth. It's working it's way rather quickly up now. Past the SCROG and working it's way outward as well!
I did have a PH issue while in veg, but quickly got that worked out. (it had dropped to 5.4 for a couple days)
I fixed the Ph and things seemed okay for a bit, but then larger leaves started dropping off while still green. Curl up overnight and then drop off. First thing I did was to flush the pots well with FloraKlean and then back to feeding. It seemed to slow down, but maybe that was wishful thinking. I let a few more days go by and then thought they might be root bound! I opened up one pot and it seemed stuffed so I opened up the other. The two pots are in a 8"x24"x48" drip tray so I made an end stop where the drain is and filled the tray with 20 more gallons of coco/perlite and fed the shit out of them with an added extra Bioroot. The problem continues still tonight.
I should add that being the middle of summer here, a couple days here and there have caused the room to hit higher temps for 4-6 hours at a time (84-92) but no sudden changes. any advice would be welcome here.
Here are some pics: From veg to current.

If I don't get this fixed soon, this is going to end up in the scrap heap!!
Help!!!! Please??

re: Leaf curl & death - Not pH - Not temp - Not nutes?

Hey man-
Sorry to see what's going on. I don't do hydro so...
Looks like root problems to me but don't know what to suggest. :sorry:

re: Leaf curl & death - Not pH - Not temp - Not nutes?

That's what I was thinking too, Major. I thought I had it licked with the extra coco. I mixed a new batch of nutes tonight and left out the SNS and SuperThrive just on a whim. Don't think I'll have many more days to salvage this wreck.

Well, AB, I haven't seen any bugs in the roots. Nats are next to 0. Nothing on the leafs but an occasional moth. I'm using SNS 209 and so I have no mites or other pests like those.
As a side note: I have 8 or so clones off these girls in veg using the same nutes and have no problems with them. 7 more Cheese clones sharing the same without problems......

This is what I saw last night:

And then this is what I see today. It's still lights out, but I snuck a few pics. I would estimate I've lost 20% of the girl on the right and maybe 15% of the one on the left. No bueno!

Is it possible the grow media is staying wetter than the others and causing root rot?

Drill a bunch of good size holes around the perimeter of the plastic drip pan you have them in. Get air into the root zone. The problem is in the root ball, she's bound tight.

Don't forget to drill hole in the bottom.

This exactly!!

Looks to me like its just a lack of light, the leaves at the bottom are permanetly in the dark, i missed what wattage your using but looks like led, they look way to tall for led lights

Sorry, I don't know why, but I'm not getting notified when I have a response to this thread.....

Well, Major, I had them in 5 gallon pots to start and they never stayed wet then. I only added the extra 20 gallons of coco & perlite after the problems started and I was desperate. I didn't feed them last night and tonight the media is still damp enough that I don't think I'll feed again tonight either. But, if in fact, it is root rot, how do I prove that or dis prove it?

The pan is the same size as the tent, DeanB. Not an option. This started long before they were in the drip pan. When I cut the smartpots off, I scored the root balls all around the perimeter to encourage new growth. There's room galore to grow now. (unless you missed the part where the pan is set up DTW. Drain To Waste. No standing nutes in the tray.)

@Croatsan
I'm confused about the net. You wanted to ScrOG but changed your mind?

All the lower growth is gone, Croatsan. It didn't look loke that a month ago! I had 80-85% of the scrog filled with a top. That's how fucked this plant has gotten!

2X mars 900-watt lights, Spiritsmoker. Deff. not light issues. I could grow carrots with the light that filters down. hahaha Again, this all started long before the plants got this high.

Things look worse tonight, as expected. Here are the gory details:

Keep in mind, I clean out all the dead stuff every night. What you see here is what I lost in 24 hours. The canopy is going down soon.......:helpsmilie::surrender::surrender::surrender: Lol

I don't see how I could make things any worse, so I'm not going to feed again tonight. Let that media dry out completely.

Meh......

Well, for those of you that were thinking lack of light, I'm sorry to say that that wasn't it. As of this morning, I've lost at least 50% of the girl on the left.
I still haven't fed the girls since the soil is still a little damp deep down in the bed.

H202 flush?
Another Floraclean flush?
Something??
Anything??................

:peace:Andy.:Namaste:

ok
you have ruled out:
light problem
bugs in soil and on leaves
over watered
vitamin overload..

what about holes in the pots maybe to much water collected ?
roots have space??
no worms eating inside stems????

I am calling in back up as we speak

Angry.. .McCdive... I need more info. DBHBB ? If your enviro is proper , ie , lighting , temps (day and night), RH, between 40-70, proper watering technique, good ventilation..then it's the roots , check the roots, what do they look like...can you safely get a look at them or will ya interfere too much with the others. You mentioned no bugs in soil...are you SURE about that..have a really good look. I once had an infestation of root aphids that almost destroyed a crop, right before harvest...so make sure of this right now OK.....standing by!
