Hello again guys,
I need some help with this issue I’m facing for 2-3 weeks now.

I’ve attached a picture of the leaf I’ve cut from lower half of the plant.

Following are some details

Soil Grow

Strain Kalashnikov
Hybrid 60-40%(I-S)
Around 20 plants
in Vegetative stage 5th week
Growing indoor
With Soil mix of 50%soil 25%perlite 25%coconut coir
Approx 2 gal bags ( will switch to 5gal when roots are filled )
Using led 600W of Light
Air Cooled with Temperature around 24-25 C & RH around 45-60%
Using water with PH 6.3-6.4
No pests or any other abnormalities.
Watering twice a week.
Using Fox Farm grow big/ big bloom/ tiger bloom set along with cal mag from advance nutrients.

Facing this issue with half of my plants where the older fan leaves are starting to burn from tips prematurely while the top new growth is in perfect color, shape and even green tone throughout.
What can be the main reason for this?

Hello @420growsessions hope you had a good Christmas.
Just curious why are you using bloom nutrients in veg?
Are you putting the calmag in your water first and letting it sit for a few minutes?
Do you have the schedule for your nutrients?
Can you follow them putting in what they recommend? :Namaste:
Then let your pots dry right out before watering again.
Really dry.
Then plain water in between feedings.
All at 6.3 ph.
Post pics if possible please.

Stay safe
Bill

Hey Bill, thanks for the info,

I’m not using bloom nutes yet, just mentioned the products I plan to use. Currently on grow big and big bloom as suggested by the nute feeding schedule.
I’m not mixing cal mag with other feeds, it’s just cal mag with water(3-4ml/gal) and next watering includes feeding.
So I haven’t actually fed plain water yet, every watering it’s alternate between (feeds and calmag)

@plankton & @bill

I’ll get some pics by evening

Good morning @420growsessions cute lady.
Is that a plastic bag she is in?
Is there holes in that bag?
She is underfed though.
How are you determining when to water again?

Stay safe
Bill

@Bill284

Yeah that’s a plastic bag with 10 drain holes of size 7mmdiameter
And 15-20 holes of 1-2mm for aeration

Underfed ? Oh, I was fearing over watered or nute burn/ lockout

I feed once a week when upper 2-3cms of the soil layer is dried out or simply by lifting the bag to see if there is water weight in it

What do you suggest about the feeding schedule

What do you suggest about the feeding schedule
She is hungry my friend.
First it's best to use the cal mag with your nutrients.
Put it in your water first.
Wait a few minutes then add your nutrients exactly as the schedule says to do.
Full strength 100% then set your ph last to 6.3.
Then wait until she is dry and wilting.
Then plain water .
Let dry again until she wilts and the pot is empty.
Then feed again with same formulation at 6.3.
Then dry.
Water
Dry
Feed
Dry........ just keep alternating and follow you nutrient schedule.
Keep doing this she will green up and look great.
I'd get a cloth bag or air pot and replant her soon as well.
Plastic pots don't let air into roots aswell as bags.
Better roots = better growth. :thumb:
Do you have any superthrive, b1 or a kelp / seaweed product?
Great for root health.

Stay safe

Hiya 420grow!

What you are seeing isn’t nutrient burn from excessive fertilizer. It’s potassium deficiency due to the lack of potassium in the Fox Farm line. These are photos of K def.

Finding a good source of potassium to supplement will help. One of our SPONSORS sells Terpinator, which is potassium sulfate. 1ml/L (~4ml/gal) is a good place to start.

Thanks a lot @Bill284

Ill follow this schedule for next few weeks,

Noted, will keep cal mag first then add other nutrients next and the next watering will be plain water.
Yes I do have a kelp/ seaweed nute, will add it in the next feed along with some K supplement.

@Phytoplankton

And I’ll switch them to fabric bags soon, I do have 5gal bags for final stages once roots are grown, will put the bag switch on priority in coming couple of weeks.

@Bill284 @Phytoplankton @FelipeBlu

Need another info, currently I’m using 2gal (8litre) bags, and I’m feeding them 10% of the bag capacity, ie 750-800ml approx, should I change this or continue with it.

Will switch them to 5gal fabric ones in next few days.

Thanks a lot again for all the guidance.
Good morning @420growsessions hope your having a good day.
I generally water to run off.
Water slowly until you get about 10% run off.
What ever amount that works out to will be the amount.
No premeasuring just keep feeding until runoff.
Not sure, hope that's what you were asking.

Stay safe
Bill

@Bill284
@FelipeBlu

Found this discoloration today on another of my plant.
She’s from the same batch as above

Have circled the pictures
It’s a 3rd or 4th node from top which has got this. Have fed her and others with extra added K. Into week 5 of veg.

Lights are at 30inches

Hello @420growsessions hope you are having a good day.
As @FelipeBlu stated if a deficiency.
But why?
Are you feeding full strength Cm, in first? Letting dry and alternating? W-F at 6.3? Watering until 10% runoff?
If so how long has she been in that pot?
She is a big girl in a little pot.
She could be telling you that pot needs flushed and put into a bigger pot.
I know you mentioned that earlier.
Cloth bags I think you mentioned, my memory is shot?
Flush and uppot her would be the logical course of action.IMO
Anyone else see something I'm missing?
Suggestions why ?

Stay safe
Bill

@Bill284

I’m feeding this
Bloom city Cal Mag,

1640825924427.png

I’ve fed them around 35-40hrs ago with full strength cal mag and fox farm dosage as per the chart for week 5, along with some sea weed kelp, also added some myco+ root innoculent . Watered until some amount of feed was runoff for all plants.

I’ve started uppotting them in 5gal fabric bags
Currently in 2gal plastic bags.
Will finish it in next couple of days and flush them with plain ph adjusted water as soon as it’s in new pot.

Should i flush it in current bag and repot or flush once in new bag.

Thanks again for your time and input
Much appreciated.

It will be much easier on you to flush the small bag before you uppot.
Take her to a laundry or bathtub run 3x the size of the bag through it. 2x3=6gal.
Less volume and no need to flush the new soil.
