Rob Kampia, executive director of America's largest marijuana policy reform organization, will give a series of talks in Florida from October 17-19, in which he will discuss how the recent Supreme Court medical marijuana decision has affected the political and legal climate, and the prospects for reform efforts in this changing landscape. Kampia's organization, the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), led the successful drives to pass medical marijuana laws in Vermont and Montana in 2004, and is backing a number of legislative and ballot proposals around the country in 2005 and 2006.
The full schedule of Kampia's appearances is below. Journalists are welcome to attend, and all events are open to the public and free. Kampia will be available for interviews after he speaks and will have limited availability for interviews at other times while he is in Florida.
