When it comes to growing marijuana legally, a Kelowna man is offering a course that really does provide a "higher" education.
Don Schulz has established Greenline Academy, the first pot school in the country.
While the only lawful way to grow or smoke marijuana in Canada is with a Health Canada license, the school is offering to help streamline that process.
Students learn the laws, legislation and licenses involved in marijuana production.
Schulz says he has attorneys, doctors and very experienced cultivators teaching the program.
About 100 people are signed up for the first two-day medical marijuana seminar in Kelowna this weekend.
Schulz says the registration is four times what he expected.
Future weekend seminars are being planned across the country but the school is hoping to make Kelowna its permanent home.
