WINCHESTER, Ind. A judge has lengthened the sentence of a teacher who caused a fatal, drug-related crash from one year to four years after post-sentencing blood tests detected marijuana in his system.

Twenty-eight-year-old Christopher Wray had been sentenced August 30th to four years with all but one year suspended. The sentence was conditional on blood tests taken when he was booked into the Randolph County Jail not showing any recent drug use.

After learning Friday that Wray had tested positive for marijuana, the judge reinstated the four suspended years, ruling that Wray would serve all of them in prison.

Wray had been accused of smoking marijuana before causing a December 2002 traffic accident near Parker City that killed 41-year-old Kathy Zurcher of Swayzee.
