Veg Day 32

@Bill284 is my coco guru for these plants. Do I know how to pick 'em or what? Lol! He keeps bugging me to post an update on them. I've been resisting.:rofl: But at the end of the day, he's pretty irresistible.

Ok, Bill, here they are. Today they just got fed AGAIN. And, per our last conversation, I upped the numbers on the week 4 Fox Farms feed chart by 25% across the board, including the CalMag plus Iron, the 2% N Humboldt's Secret stuff not the 8% N Blue Planet CalMag.

We'll see how they do with the added 25%. You were 100% right man, these girls are eating like it's their last meal every damn day. It seems almost impossible to overwater them, and I am simply alternating: feed + calmag / calmag water only / feed + calmag / calmag water only - etc....

Does that all sound about right for the moment? They look pretty healthy to me. What do your eyes see? How am I doing with these girls so far? Do you see anything I need to attend to?

THANK YOU.

Good morning sir.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Hope you have a great day.
Although you are putting calmag in I don't understand why just water.
Feed full nutrients every time my friend.
No plain water ever.
Those look like very happy ladies though.
Color is perfect.
How are your daylight hours?
When do you figure light will be short enough to initiate flower?

Stay safe
Bill

Let me make sure I understand you precisely. It sounds as if you're telling me to feed with every single watering? No clean water with cal mag in between feedings, ie, feeding every OTHER watering? You're telling me to feed them EVERY TIME I WATER THEM? For real?

You realize how crazy and insane it feels to my inexperienced grower being to feed with every single watering? Lol.

If that's what you mean, and it appears that it is, I gotta get more nutes. Damnit. Why does everything you warned me about come true? And if that is the case, I assume I would feed every time unless/until I saw some kind of sign of nute overfeeding, yes?

That giant Jack Herer you grew must have been the most royal pain in the ass of all time. No wonder you said never again. I can't imagine what would be happening if I had used sevens. Only reason I didn't was cuz of amount of soil on hand at the time. And if you fed that beast with every watering, AND you were using the Prescription Blend nutes, well, I have them. Did the regular sized set get you all the way through that Jack Herer, or did you have to re-up and buy more nutes before the end?

I can flip whenever I want, the natural light cycle here for the entire winter is either about 12/12 or even 11/13. The three already budding all I did was take them off their 20/4 veg cycle by tossing them in the yard to finish. Works perfectly every time. These coco girls are also on 20/4 for veg. They get 10 of sunlight and 10 of the @Mars Hydro FC-E6500 in the rig.

You see how big the damn fan leaves are on all three of these? Is this typical of coco? Some are as big as my hand.

How big would you suggest I let them get before flipping?
I'm thinking whatever I see when I flip, double it at least, right? So I was going to flip when they were about 2 1/2 feet tall. That's when I flipped the others, and it ends up being a plant the size I can manage. I can't handle a beast like your Jack or I'd be growing in 10s or 15s. Lol. MAN would I love to grow a beast like that though. When I get back to PA in the spring I'm going to have a paid assistant who can actually walk. Lol. It was the first job requirement. Legs. Heh. At that point, it's BEAST time. I want to grow a 15 - 18' tall plant outside. What size pot will that take, a 15? A 10?

Damn, @Bill284. You're the man. Thanks for all the help. You understand I'm doing all my asking on the journal thread so others may benefit from your advice as well, right? I don't know that anyone is watching, but in theory you're not just educating me, you're educating anyone who chooses to follow too. It is much appreciated. I save the embarrassing questions I don't want to put out on the journal for when I private message you.:laugh::laugh:

Do you always feed your coco plants every time you water? And is that going to continue all the way through flower too? Feeding every time?

Happy Thanksgiving y'all!
And to you and yours as well young lady. This Thanksgiving I'm going to be taking my post Thanksgiving crap on the word RELIC. We can take on those young whippersnappers any day of the week, right girl? Ha! Hope you enjoy the day on what I suspect may be a different, and perhaps a bit melancholy, Thanksgiving for you on some levels. Me and Molly are keeping you in our thoughts today. Well, I am. Molly only thinks about food.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Omg I'm laughing my ass off here.
Your hilarious my friend.
Yes yes yes yes yes lol feed feed feed. I feken told you it would like trying to take care of hungry petulant teenagers. Oops sounds like I told you so,hehe sorry.
Ok got a ppm meter yet because we are still flying blind here.
600 -800 ppms is your range now depending on your original water quality.
As far as flip goes your going to have to judge that by height and size not age.
Since you move them just don't let them get bigger than 1/2 the size you can handle.
Personally I'd wait to about 10 weeks before the move , let,em grow hehe.
That 12' was in a 100l pot of coco.
Trained for 2 months before going outside.
I fed GH to her it was the most economical nutrient I had.
Probably 20-30 liters a day.
Feken nightmare it was.
I was hoping for a pound a foot but I was a little short, not much though.
So this summer I have 200L of soil ready to go.
Mixed it last spring.
We will do a side by side outdoor, see who grows the prettiest one.
Oh yes the leaves you asked ,yes like frisbees let them do their thing.
Giant solar panels.
5.8 ph calmag first feed feed feed you will be pleased.
Try taking care of 50 or 60 at once, that's all I did feed feed feed.
Now you know why I had 2-300L tanks and a 100L pump chamber .
This will be fun watching you go like a spinning top lol.
Keep asking questions Amigo anytime you need,we will get this done. :thumb:
Keep smiling.

Stay safe
Bill

Happy Thanksgiving!

And now you see why I never run with coco, too much work ;) .

But with Bill helping you this is going to be epic. Both in humor and the plant :laughtwo:

Ooh Bill, 200L of soil ? Wow that is going to be freakin awesome!!

Glad you're in my corner. Thanks. Happy Turkey Day to you and yours.

Same to you and yours, Rex! Thanks. And yeah, you'll laugh, I'll water.....and water....and water.....Lol.

My god I just did the conversion on 200 liters. That's almost a 53 gallon pot. We could sleep in the damn thing. OMG I can't even imagine how big that will get. Good lord.

Hey buddy how are you doing good today.
I mixed it up for the greenhouse last spring.
Then we decided to move and never built the greenhouse.
So I hauled 2 giant tubs of dirt 4 feken hrs lol.
So it'll be well cooked and ready for spring.
What do you think greenhouse down by the river?
You have a few open spots there, we should all try and grow a redwood this summer.
A pound a foot is what I'm aiming for.
Sound good?

Stay safe
Bill

Hey Bill! I'm doing OK thanks, how you doing?
I think that would be a beautiful spot, it would get the needed sunshine into it. Not to mention that is one of the nicest spots I've seen in a long while to sit, chill and have a smoke.
I know that you've got your soil cooked, but if you need any MC don't be shy...I've still got a huge bag of it :laughtwo:

Well man, I don't know if I can grow one out the gates near that goal, but by damn I'm totally willing to give it a try.
I know for sure this summer I'll be having some outdoor growing going on, it'd be silly of me not to.
One outdoor plant is already earmarked, I have an experiment I've been dying to try for years now outdoors.
That leaves me with 3 other plants I can grow outside. Then I'll have my indoor grow tent fired up as well (assuming the grow rooms isn't completed).
Stay safe
Bill
You too brother, nasty weather around the corner.

I'm great thanks Amigo.
Snow is coming yeiks!
Have you got your shovel tuned up ready to go?
I still have to cover the BBQ and put a couple chairs away before it snows.
Got the house tested by the gov rebate people this morning.
Hopefully they fix us up.
I have to go get some soil from that bin @CanadianStoner gave me a critical mass auto I'm going to play with.
It's soaking now.
I got a bag of Geoflora somewhere if I can find it I should be good.
You herd from kcco lately?
I'll have to message him,he gets busy working and forgets about the fun sometimes.

Stay safe

Funny thing, when you sent that Previous message, I was at the gas station getting gas for the snowblower.
I need a new scraper sometime soon, I'll have to go on the roof a few times this winter, there's a few flatter sections of the roof that won't shed the snow:confused:

Awesome news! You're already ahead of me there, I need to apply, but the project for the program for me can't happen till next spring....can/should I apply now anyways?
I've been plodding around the yard slowly this last week or two getting things put away....damn garden hose was a killer task, RSO to the rescue once again!
Hopefully they fix us up.

I haven't heard from him in a bit, not since his last update. I know this time of year he works crazy, then he gets a bit more downtime in the winter and is on more...hope he's doing well, send him our best wishes!

Man, you guys are making me jealous! You get to actually hang out and interact directly with one another! Damn. I'm stuck on an island down here. That must be so cool. If the Republicans take power in 2024 I'm moving up there goddamnit. I've been threatening to for a while. I love Canada. I'm a huge fan of the Montreal area with the Olde City and all that. Love me some Ontario too, beautiful place. I've had nothing but great times in that lovely country and can't wait to visit again. I really would consider moving there, especially if the pot laws don't get federalized in the US sometime in the next couple years.

Happy Thanksgiving fellas.

Happy Thanksgiving Jon to you and your whole family! The coco plants are looking great and you found a great mentor in Bill.
:welldone:
To you and yours as well Shed, and thanks! Yeah, Bill knows a thing or two. Not a bad dude who just got his ass kicked to hell and back and is already back helping shwubs like me. Thanks for your help too man, this isn't a Bill solo mission. You guys have been so great about helping me, especially people like you, Bill, Emilya, Rexer, Stone Otter and others. I honestly believe I wouldn't be where I am without this forum and you guys. I have yet to consider any grow I've done since I started getting to know people a little that I would consider anything but a team grow. One of these days I'll go solo and not have to pester you guys with 1000 questions a week. Lol.

THANKS MAN.

Strawberry Banana Fast Flowering Photo
Grow Day 45
Flower Day 9

She's stretched some, not as much as I thought she would. She's not done, but she is about to start making some cotton balls. I thought she'd catch up in height to the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, but then I remembered that I topped this plant, while the Raspberry Parfait and PUC grew untouched. So yeah, she won't get as tall as them. .

And at this point I'm gonna go ahead and declare this plant fully recovered from her early leaf curling and burning thing. That's long in the past and she's rip roaring now. Between this plant and the four autos of the same strain I'm about to harvest, I'm going to have so much of this strain it's silly. Which makes the fact that it's one of my all time faves a nice thing. Almost as if I planned it that way. Very curious to compare the auto and the photo versions. I've never had the same strain of photo and auto at the same time to compare like that. I'll do a special comparison strain report on it at the end which will be a little different than my usual strain reports and might be fun.

Anyway, here's my baby. I guess we're going to find out whether this Fast Flowering F1 cross thing actually works as advertised. They're talking 45 days to finish flowering and harvest. Today is day 9. I'm dubious, I must say. But we'll see. If so, we're talking seed to harvest in exactly (in this case) 90 days. For a photo that is definitely going to outyield most autos, even done small like this. In the same time frame as an auto. I LOVE THAT. And I am rooting for it to work as claimed.
