I got home Thursday night from Jamacia. Fun,fun, fun. I was only at my hotel for 1 hour and went out on the hut with a pier. Met 1 man working for the resort and asked any smoke around. Sure mon, he would have to go get some. Before we setup anything another man in a kayak selling crafts and shells comes over and starts talking asked if I want any MJ. Sure let me see what you got. About a 1/4 oz in plastic bag nice buds sticky and smelling good. How much I ask 60$ I got it for 20$ and it lasted the whole trip.
Another time we are walking through a craft market and they are trying to sell me some more smoke (same stuff). I have more than enough so I tell him to roll me one. Sure mon, I smoked it with him om the beach 2$ while my wife spent money.
Then on the cab ride to Negril the driver stops at a roadside shop they are everywhere. 2 Red Stripes (good beer) and a 3$ rolled joint 8$ total. What a nice pit stop. This was good stuff I smoked that joint 4 times.
Amsterdam might be fun. But for sun, swimming sights and very friendly people Jamacia is alot of fun. I smoked on the beach, on my balcony. In parking lots pretty much any where you could smoke cigs was ok. Very MJ friendly country. I want to go to Amsterdam one day but Jamacia gets my vote for sun and smoke.

nice trip, sounds like a whole lotta fun. going to have to go down there and see what all this racket is about. i hear that jamaica is very tourist conscious and the hotel staff will get whatever you need.
what part of maca did you stay in? did you have any trouble with the locals? heard that some parts are very tourist friendly but then again that can be said about anywhere.
glad you had a fun trip

I was in Motego Bay Iberostar Resort gets high marks very nice all inclusive. We went all over not cheap about what you would pay in the states for taxis and tips. The locals we met were very friendly, but hard selling whatever they had to sell. Your best bet is going with another couple and splitting the cost of a taxi. Then you have your own tour guide who will give you all the info you need. And take you to the best beaches, shops and bars. It gets crowded when cruise ships come in.
Our taxi driver Ernesto saved us alot of cash by taking us to a really nice shopping center, then took us to a certain shop that had the best prices we saw the whole trip.
I had a blast just bargining with the locals. We climbed Dunns River (too crowded), Margaritaville beach in Negril was great, hard sell by locals. Ricks cafe to jump off the cliffs and see the sunset was great also. I will go back, no problem mon!!:ganjamon:
