J Obadiahs Multi-Strain 2021

What's up everyone! It's that time again, so let's get right to it. This season I'll be working on a couple different things, and I'm very excited. I'll try to post updates as often as possible!

BACKGROUND
There will be two grows this year: outdoor & indoor. The outdoor will be a combination grow of seed and clones; the indoor grow will be from seed. Each will utilize similar grow methods with some minor differences which I'll explain in a minute.

For now, here's a few pics of the babies:

As you can see they're still small, planted right around the first week of February. They're currently under 2 small fluorescent bulbs I got at Ace Hardware for $5 each. Been using them for about 4 years now.

OUTDOOR:
Strain: Blue Cookies
Yield: ~12oz to 20oz (per plant)
Medium: Soil (ProMix + BigRootz), Container
Method: Organic No-Till
Genetics: In-House
Origin: Clone, Organic Mother

INDOOR:
Strain: Gelato
Environment: Tent
Light: 2000W - Viparspectra IL2000
Grow Method: SCRoG
Yield: 500 to 660g/sq. m.
Medium: Soil, Organic
Genetics: Nirvana/Dutch
Origin: Seed

Hey guys! I have a OG Kush Auto from Nirvana. I think her soil was still a bit too hot when I planted. What do you think? Will she make it? LOL let's hope.

UPDATE!!

Hey Growmies! It's been a minute but here is an update. At the moment I'm dealing with a fungus gnat issue. I've treated them with the following:

Neem Oil
Predatory Nematodes
Increased Airflow near base of the plant
Added a layer of sticky trap on top of the soil (yes, I can still water).

The effects of this issue have become apparent on a couple of them, but I believe with the combination of insecticides, traps, and Nematodes, I will emerge victorious.

Here's a look at the current problem:
Look closely to see abnormal growth. I believe it's caused by 1. My overwatering —› Soil Too Moist —› Gnats —› Eaten roots —› Wilt and Damage.

Morning Growmies!

Here's another update! The Gelato is looking good, although I feel like she could be a bit thicker @ this point, week 6 is starting Wednesday, June 16th. Anyway, here's a buncha pictures to help catch you up!

↑↑ These are the Animal Face and Sunset Mac after they were burned by my applying Horticultural Oil and not leaving them dark long enough. They've recovered well.

And the Gelato in DWC just below it. You can see she's feeling a bit gloomy because I accidentally messed up her nutrient reservoir. I just cleaned it and put proper chemicals back into the water and she's slowly getting back to normal. I expect she'll lose her bottom leaves to burn before she recovers

↑↑ week 4. This is right when I open the door in the mornings, with the light off it's easier to see the colas. I'm concerned she's not bulking like I want, though, so we'll see about pressing them beyond that 9 week mark to maybe 11 weeks, but we'll see how they develop. What do you think?

↑↑ this is the Gelato in Week 3.

This last one is chocolate tonic by Dark Heart Nursery. It's a tremendously robust and hardy plant. I've decided to go for my 2nd attempt at Bonsai. It's not the way it OUGHTA be, but I just enjoy the fun of training them into odd shapes to see how they'll produce .

↑↑ Notice the apex of this developing cola, she has a smaller stature and more pistils compared with plant #3. This is plant #2

↑↑ Compare these apexes to the apex of plant 2 above. These ones are far less dense, have enormous foxtails, and are structured differently than their sisters'.

↑↑ This plant, Gelato #3 is completely different from her sisters. Take a closer look at the close up images of the colas and apical buds and you'll see the other four are more dense, have more pistils, and tend to be thicker. The smell is completely different as well. The one smells like it's been grown outdoors--with that peppery, earthy smell--and the others smell like dank, pungent, sweet, and citrus.
