I found this light set up and it seems pretty good for the price what do you guys think. I have never grown before. I plan on building a 12x12 indoor climate controlled room in my attic. All will not be grow area some will be couch and television for chillin :)

I think you'll find that HTG beats alot of other supply shops when it comes to pricing because their lighting systems are inferior Chinese built ballasts and reflectors.
There are many reports of their gear failing in a short period of time and I've seen HTG reflectors with massive scorch burns on the inside from the bulb. And those were air cooled reflectors!
They do have a good return policy and good customer service so if your gear does fail you are not sol.
If you buy HTG or any other brand for that matter I highly recommend you buy a back up ballast and bulb just in case disaster strikes.
I use a 430 watt ballast built by a local electrician/light builder that I've been using for 12 years now. I'm thinking it has to be about to wear out soon so I have a new Hydrofarm ballast waiting in the bull pen along with two back up bulbs.

Price don't seem to bad at all,, I am still learning alot and have never grown before. Still confused on wether or not I need seperate areas for vegging and flowering. Should I get like 2 tents? Going in a 12x12 room but not all of it will be grow

yes one tent for bloom and one for flower. I would plan out the "chill" area first then figure out the dimensions for the grow area based off of the space u have left. How much are you looking to grow? Like how many plants? Also what method are you going to use to grow? Hydro? I am going to get most likely a 4X4 tent for flower and use my closet space for bloom.

Not sure how I was gonna grow,, I here some people say they prefer soil. I always heard hydro was better. Proably start with 6 plants 1 every other week. I have a lot of thinking to do because I would like to be a caregiver as well as a patient
