Is Fox Farm Ocean Forest a good soil to use?

Yes, but add perlite/vermiculite at a 3:1 soil/perlite ratio.

I use it out if the bag, adding perlite will cause it to hold less water. In my opinion it's not needed. Here is an example of an auto AK grown in #3 with FFOF.
