A new registry that will allow Hoosiers with epilepsy to obtain medicinal cannabis is now open.

A law Governor Eric Holcomb signed this past legislative session charged the Indiana State Department of Health with creating a registry for individuals with epilepsy. Once on the registry, Hoosiers can legally obtain cannabidiol or CBD oil, a medicinal form of cannabis that can be used to treat seizures.

Miriah Mershon has a child with epilepsy and has been advocating for CBD oil legislation for years. Up until now, her family primarily used a combination of pharmaceuticals treat to her 5 year old son, Jameson.

"It's heartbreaking to know that we've never met our real son; we've never met our son without drugs," she says.

Mershon has already submitted her son's information for the registry. The registry can be found the ISDH website.
