Hi everyone,

I'm cooking my first batch of marijuana oil. I added 48 ounces of canola oil with 7/8 of an ounce of snow cap. I have the temp at about 245 degrees. I stir the pot every 7 or 8 minutes, and then lick the spoon. Man, i'm getting wasted :slide:

Question for ya all. How long would you cook the oil? I've heard 2 to 3 hours. If I wanted to max out on getting the THC out of the snow cap, should I cook it longer?

Thanks buds,

Alex

Did you gring the bud with a coffee grinder first?
If its dried and ground you only need to simmer the oil at a low heat for about 15 minutes.

I didn't use a coffee grinder. I used a regular grinder I picked up at a 420 shop. The 420 was dry. I started cooking almost 2 hours ago. I guess it is almost time to stop.

Does it help or hurt to extend the cooking time? (past 2 hours)

Thanks,

This week I was making caps, which I ran out of, so I put the remaining oil into a small jar and just stick my finger in and stir it up and lick it.
We are never to old to lick the jar!
