I'd like to hear your story - Have you ever had to harvest early? If so, why?

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but since this is just about misc experiences, I'm assuming that this is the correct place.

So lets hear it. Have you ever run into a situation where you were forced to harvest early? If so, why? How early? Smoke report?
 
Yes. Kinda.

I had contractors fixing damage from a fallen tree so I moved all my plants outside a few hundred yards into the woods surround my house. Terrible yield.

I left them in the smart pots but the fucking deer ate half of them. I barely got 5ozs total.
