Hydroponics

Has anybody ever used an aeroflo2 system?
If so were the results great? How often and during what stages were the micro sprayers used? Anything else I should know about this system?
Thanks
:allgood:

I would imagine it would be during the light cycle, but how Often 3 times a day and for how many minutes?
It's not that expensive of a set up maybe for some. I don't consider myself a beginner I was curious if anybody has used this inparticular and had good results. I currently use a drip system which works great but wanted to try some new ways.

The mist nozzles are used anyime the light is on. And it is expensive, The average setup is between $400 to $3000. I have over 2 grand in my setup and it is a ebb n flow but I have nice lights.

How often during the the day are the plants watered? 3 times per day for 3 mins or what? Im lookin at using this system for my next crop and want to know whats up with evrrything with this unit?
Thanks

I think you let the water run for 30 min, not 3. Don't take my word as a final %100 because I have never grown hydro befor. I think that I read 30 min every couple houres or something like that, again I am just regergitating what I THINK is correct, please some one let me know if I am wrong.

The Aeroflo2 design systems can be running continuiously or placed on timers. The most popular way to set them up is with the 1 minute on 4 minutes off. Another way is run pump continiously until night cycle. Pump only needs to come on one time during a night (flower) cycle.
Another grower tells me that when he flowers he starts to slowly stress the plants. By this I mean he would go from 1-5 minutes on, 5 minutes off. Keep increasing the off times till you are up to around 20-30 minutes off. No longer then 30 minutes that is pushing it. If this is timed to be happening in conjunction with the end of flower cycle potency of the herb will be increased. I am not sure how much of an increase you can cause by water stressing your plants but it does work.
Some good advice with these systems is to NOT follow the advice in the intructions. It states that once the roots touch the bottom of chamber, push water level control tube to the bottom. I find that it is better to leave the control tube sticking up about 1/2-3/4" protruding up. This is a safety issue only, if by some fate of bad luck your pump dies, your plants will not follow suit :). This would leave just a small amount of water in each chamber. I almost lost my plants once, Future Gardens convinced me that it is the best safety advice you can get for this system. ;)

This is not from my experience. I actually have none with this system. But you can find all this info and a little more here.

Hope it helps

If you are going to keep asking this question then you really don't know anything about advance hydroponics, you have two experience hydro people answering your question yet you still ask, what Stix says is true and I would of given the info in the next step.
Aeroponics is a little different then the conventional hydro system because it is a constant fusion of water, oxygen, and nutes causing the fastest plant growth that we know of but can be vary deadly to plants when a problem does arise, the only thing I can say now is good luck.:peace:

I asked again because I never got an answer the 1st time. I was waiting for a true expert like stix to finally answer my question and he gave me a quote from another grower. Anyhow I've never used Aeroponics and have always used a drip system.
Anyway thanks for the tips and advice and any other comments or suggestions are more than welcome.
Like you said good luck...I'm sure I will need it and will learn as I go with this system.
