Florida - While investigating suspicious activity at a home in Citrus Hills, Citrus County Sheriff's deputies discovered a major grow house operation. The responding deputy reported initially noticing a broken well was gushing water into the front yard of the home in the 900 block of West Keller Street. After looking around the home, the deputy noticed suspicious pipes coming out of the side of the house and notified a detective with drug expertise for further assistance.

Upon arriving at the home, the detective decided a search warrant was needed. Once inside, they found the home had been converted into a large scale grow house operation. Three bedrooms were converted into rooms specifically for growing marijuana with sophisticated lights. In all, 91 marijuana plants were recovered with half reaching mid-level growth with plants four feet tall. Detectives say the plants were not ready to be harvested or sold.

Duke Energy also responded to the home after detectives noticed the home was being powered by stolen electricity. The results of Duke Energy's investigation have not yet been released. The residents were not home at the time of the bust and no arrests have been made at this time.
