Pearcey's Plants

Active Member
Hey guys, my first grow was an auto and I was learning a lot. I only had luck with three out of the five seeds, two only harvested 1/2oz and I still have one flowering in the tent. This one I was alot more careful with pH and nutes and looks like my first batch at Day 50 and it is only at 37. Anyways..excited for this grow as I just had to get rid of some males and really wanted to guarantee a female or auto. These plants will be going in the tent with my Road Runner #2 and GG that is two weeks old.

Week 1
Variety: 85/15 Indica/Sativa
Plant Stage:
Week 1 - Germination
Location: Indoors
Pot Mixture: Peat moss, hummus, vermiculite perlite
Veg Light: 1000W King LED Full Spectrum (300W actual)
Flower Lights: Canopy light: 200W LED, 253W FL Side Lighting: 56W LED
Temperature: 27°C
Humidity: 80%
pH: 6
Light cycle: 24/0
Nutrients: Root Farm 4-0-1, Root Farm 4-3-7, Bumper Crop pH down

Started these bad boys in peat moss pellets and will put into their final 3 gal pots once they sprout more and will put them in the tent. I have them in a humidity dome under two T8 5000K LED bulbs. Undecided on 24/0, 20/4 or 18/6 after this first week.

Week 2
Variety: 85/15 Indica/Sativa
Plant Stage:
Week 2 - Vegetation
Pot Mixture: Peat moss, hummus, vermiculite perlite
Temperature: 25°C
Humidity: 50%
pH: 7.5
Light cycle: 24/0
Nutrients: Root Farm 4-0-1, Root Farm 4-3-7, Bumper Crop pH down

pH is a little high at 7.5, will re-adjust next watering to 6.5. Growing a little slower than I would like however we've had some good growth over the past day.

Week 3
Variety: 85/15 Indica/Sativa
Plant Stage:
Week 3 - Vegetation
Pot Mixture: Peat moss, hummus, vermiculite, perlite
Temperature: 22°C
Humidity: 30%
pH: 6.5
Light cycle: 24/0
Nutrients: Root Farm 4-0-1, Root Farm 4-3-7, Bumper Crop pH down, Pro Mix Root Booster

Growth has been going okay so far, looking forward to this next week for some big growth. I had seen mixed opinions on adjusting pH levels of water when using soil as a medium. What are your opinions on this? I have been watering to try and keep pH at 6.5 however come next feeding time it is usually sitting around 7.5-8. Always seems to jump on me as they dry up, is this normal?

Oh right autos. I'm clueless. I started my first auto but i didnt know it was a auto so it's got 8 tops. Thinking I might have to chock this one up to learning experience. I coudn't even tell you how old it is!

Day 23
Did a little lst on one plant and topped both. One started to droop a little afterwards but has begun to perk up already.

Hey Percy,
your training looks good to me. If you need any other hints or tips you should check out Sheds thread on the subject

Loads of good info in there.

I hope to be referring to it myself before too long.

I think you did the right thing not topping, just my opinion, but you did ask :) .

:Namaste:

Hey thanks! I will definitely give that a read, always looking to improve. Always wanting to research and learn more

After my tent falling apart on me I transferred everything into the closet. 2x3 space. I have my King LED 1000W, 186w actual draw and my diy light hung up. DIY light is mostly LED’s with a few CFL’s, put my multimeter on it and draws 500W from the wall. Just need to cover up the wires.

Kind of like the closet setup because there isn’t many height restrictions.

Looking at this, turns out I have a burnt bulb!

I had some spare shelves in my room and was bored today...built a grow tent out of it so I could use my closet for clothes again haha. I just need to finish off the front of it and I should be pretty set.

Tent
- 1.5" PVC
- Mylar reflective blanket
- Blue drop cloth for the outer surfaces
- 30" x 37.5" x 25.5" - Flower Chamber
- 30" x 16" x 25.5" - Veg Chamber

Fans
Veg chamber
- Passive intake and exhaust. Hasn't been getting above 21 degrees but may add some more air flow.

Flower chamber
- 140CFM Intake, Passive exaust. I left the top of the tent open to vent hot air but also might switch this up, I don't really see any issues with this as I won't need high RHin the flower chamber.
- 6" Clip on Fan

Lights
Veg Chamber
- 68W LED T8
- 68W LED Bars
- 34W T8 FL

Flower Chamber
- King LED 1000W LED full spectrum, actually 186W draw
- 36W LED shop light
- 102W T8 FL
- 207W CFL
- 162W LED bulbs

Day 26 Update
Flushed both plants yesterday as they started to show some defiencies. pH was sitting at 8, my meter only goes to 8 so who knows how alkaline it was. Anyways, reajusted to 6.5 and things seem to be going good.

Both plants were topped a couple days ago, new shoots are looking good!
