HPS light question...

Just wondering if Lithonia Lighting
50 Watt Bronze High Pressure Sodium Floodlight (its looks like an outside security light. Model TFS 50S 120 LPI M6) would work, its the only one at homedepot, and yes I know its only a 50w but I'm just growing a few lowryders, with ALOT of CFL's and Floro tubes also, So what do you guys think, will it work>?

The 50w hps will work, and will work better then the cfl's.

two problems...

the security light (aluminum housing, bulb and ballast) im assuming. most likely has a photocell. You will need to either rewire the inner workings of it or cover the photocell up so no light can hit it. it may also not even have a photocell. I looked up the bulb and housing and cannot find any info if it does or not.

Second. The housing that I see seems to be an aluminum housing and a sheet of glass over the bulb. this is ment to work outside in the open air. it may cause heat problems if you use it in an enclosed space.

Hmm, any advice on a 50-100w HPs that will work in a smaller grow area (couldn't find one on https://www.insidesun.com ), I will be running an intake and exhaust fans but nothing bigger than a 4 inch fan...
