How to prevent heavy rain pummeling my 1 - 2 day old seedlings?

I'm going away for nine days and I'm going to be leaving my seedlings outdoors, problem is they will only be 1-2 days old when heavy rain is forecast and I need something to protect them from getting pummeled by rain (although I still want them to some get rain water)

Anyone got any ideas?

I would get some tall net pots and some landscape staples and just cover them, they will still get light, but this will also protect them from getting chomped by critters.

A tomato cage or similar with a plant cover cloth to drape over should do the trick.
