How do i prune my plant to be a baseball bat shape, is it safe?

Iv seen in numerous videos, maryj plants that seam to have no fan leafs only nodes on the main stem? does this harm the plant very much? i would like to attempt it cus i have limited room in my growbox. thanks dudes

leaves are needed to provide food and energy to the plant via photosynthesis. Dont spear it unless the lower fan leaves have become susceptible to plague

what if i let the inner leaves grow out and then spear it?

It's tricky, ive seen guys do that back in the day with a brazillian and had good results. You might just sacrafice a few grams for space, or you might stunt growth. It's your call though.
