Cloning gel helps, but it's not the only way. The link provided before me will help the most.
You can take a cut, put it in a mason jar with some water, in a warm sunny window, and in 14 days you'll have roots. Stick that cut in an aloe leaf, then into the jar and they'll be there in 10. There's lot more ways but that's one. Good luck, it's not that hard.
