how did it hermi?

hi all iv just cut down my fav plant today as i noticed it was a hermi, but wats bugging me is how????
..is it somthing iv done?
is it a genitic thing? i never even knew this could happen until last week .

It's usually caused by stress or genetics.

I don't know but the answers are always the same, genetics and or stress. I guess someone could take a couple clones and stress the crap out of it in every possible way, including messing with the light schedule, allowing some light leaks, etc. to see if it will hermie and let the other run its course. I guess you can test genetics by growing a clone from a hermie plant and see if it hermies again.
