How can I bring humidity down?

Hey again all, we're in flower now and would like to start lowering our rh.

It sits at 50%-60% We have a 6" exhaust fan on a controller. And guess turning it up would help but it is loud.

Short of buying a dehumidifier what other options are there to help lower rh?

O really I thought 50-60 percent was ok for veg but in flower you wanted it lower.
I read in a post somewhere that the plants defense against low rh was to produce more resins or something like that lol.

With your exhaust running, there is nothing you can do to lower humidity unless you "treat" the incoming air.

I have my cabinets in a spare bedroom.

I keep the bedroom at 69F and 55-60% RH through a combination of humidifier, dehumidifier, heater, and AC

Exhaust fans in cabinets run 24hrs a day.

Heat from the lights raise the temps in the cabinets to 76-79F and lowers RH about 5%.

Larger volumes of air are easier to manage than smaller ones. I used to try to control the environment from inside my cabinets. I learned it was too difficult and mostly didn't work how I wanted. All I have to do now is make slight adjustments to my fan speed controller to let the lights on temps rise to where I want them to be. I usually only make an adjustment once per grow as plants fill cabinet.

Having said that, 55-60%RH is just fine for flowering. Keep a light breeze flowing through your canopy to help avoid bud rot. If the air is still, there will be a boundary layer under your leaves where the humidity will be MUCH higher, and your sensor will not pick up on it. This is where the plant respirates and transpires water vapor. Keep the air moving and you'll be fine.
