How are my babies doing?

Hey 420 members,
This is my first grow and just wanted your thoughts on how my babes are doing.
Strain = 2x Florida gold by DNA genetics
Light is currently 23 inches away from seedling tops (i first started them at 36 inches away and gradually got down to 23 inches) (400 MH air cooled reflector)
seedling #1 = 2.6 inches long
seedling #2 = 3 inches long
age: planted germinated seeds with roots 1cm long on June 29th, 2015
temps = 78-83 degrees this past week (southern cali)

wondering if they are a bit stretchy? Do you fellows think I should lower my lights? (hesitant about lowering lights because of reading light burn on babies)

They look fine. In another few days you'll see your 3 bladed leaves then growth will really take off.

To keep them from stretching too much, lower the lights (or raise your pots) till they are about 3 - 5" from the topmost leaf. Put your hand over the plant, and if the warmthfrom the bulb is comfortable to you, then it will be OK for the plants. If it is too hot for you, then it will be too hot for the babies. Raise the light or lower the plants until the heat from the bulb is comfortable.

You'll need to adjust this distance every day or two, so check on their progress every day.
