Hot dry desert air - Percolate it?

Ok I have a lot of DIY exp so I can build a box and run the ducting and electric with ease.

The problem I have been thinking about is how to humidify and cool the air here.
I live in the Vegas Valley so it often gets 110+F and the humidity is often 20% or less.

I had thought about buying on old fridge ( maybe the smaller dorm size ones) and running pipe through it as a reverse radiator.
Of course that would be best with copper pipe and that cost $$$$. pvc would work but I still would not have the humidity I seek even if I ran it around inside the fridge enough to cool it.

My mind wandered back to my days working in the body shop biz as a painter.
It was 2 WIFEtimes ago but we had a water wash system that cleaned the air leaving the spray booth.

So I got to thinking I could kill 2 birds with one stone if I percolated the air coming in through water.
It would cool it and pick up h2o all at once.

I was thinking maybe an old cooler. Then if I needed to I could always add some ice/ frozen 2 liter bottles or whatever to chill the water.

I tried to sketch up a quick idea I am about to try and add the pic to this post.

I welcome any input and thank

My fan would pull the air though the cooler and into the grow box.

I am also thinking it may be even better to run the pipe into a old fridge, and then through water container inside the fridge. as I could set it and forget it as the fridge would keep the water a set temp:)

you all for your time !

Hot dry desert air... Not lately it seems... My swamp cooler doesn't work that well lately either.... Tried the frozen water bottles to keep temps down in my last summer rdwc grow... worked well but was a twice a day water bottle change, pia...
For the humidity problem, the swamp cooler keeps it up for me. In the winter, i don't worry about it.... I think people make too much fuss about humidity.. One thing about growing in the desert, you never have to worry about mold or mildew... For the odor problem, i try grow something that doesn't smell that much... but then i usually only grow one or two, and don't have any close neighbors... Winter time i run a closed system and exhaust through a filter, and draw in outside air...
Although, in an apartment even a little odor can be a killer.... For summer time in the desert i switch to coco/perlite.... My frozen water bottle grow inspired me to spend money on a chiller for anymore rdwc grows...
