Gandy. If cost isn't a factor check out LEDs. If they are too expensive, I'd look next at a 600w hps. BTW what are the dimensions of the tent, and how do you plan to grow, soil or hydro?MaxHeadroom

Welcome. I'm also from England and just started my first ever grow with equipment that got great results on here. It's too early for me to say what results will be like as my seeds went into pots today. LED seems to be the way to go and wasn't that much more than going HID once ballasts, reflectors and extra cooling were taken into account. Running costs are much lower too. I'll PM you some info.
