Hello and glad to eventually get on board... The HMA encryption software seems pretty safe! My nickname is because of my job and my passion is growing plants, and I do mean plants of all varieties! I am as proud of the salads on my NFT and the mass of trailing colour from my drip fed baskets as I am my magical MJ.
A dedicated UK grower with a small but bloody good 'personal user' set up.
I will post my grow in the relevant forum and then try link it back...?
For now I will pop it here as I am unsure where it should go... Hi and thanx UKE.
Thanks and seen as I can't realy find where to post this I am popping it here for now and will have a look later, needs must and work calls!
Here goes then for my grow... An ever reliable BB/NL (untopped) left to go over ripe for a really intense deep couchy stone, the best ever treatment for my insomnia! I have run off the same mother for 2 years without issue... I have had a few problems with mould on these buds, they just get so thick and heavy that they sweat like Rolf Harris on a school bus, but I find a squirt of some organic product I found at work cures it...
2 Barneys Farm Blue Cheese (Must Be Sativa Dom Pheno's!!!) they are quite lanky and take around 11 weeks but gives a lovely long lasting pleasant stone that smells delightful! Inconsistent branch thickness is always a bit annoying on this strain... but the skinny branches still produce the same size buds so why worry!
And finally a really mature mixed skinny Sativa pheno strain, bred from old stock just for its pure craziness, trust me this thing can grow! Even with chopping, popping, squashing, growth inhibitors and MetHal for the first 21 days in flower it will easily hit 2 metres and can produce around 7-8 ounces of average smelling mild tasting bud, but leave it 3 months to cure and it is pure physcotic...
These 4 are in a large 2.4 x 3.5 x 2.2 metre mylar lined, sealed room so there's also lots of space to grow and put additional accessories. Lighting is a 50/50 2400 watt (I only use 1200) 8" sealed air cooled system on a spinner so 600w MH & 600w HPS turning 180 degrees every day, I also use 300w dual spectrum verticals x 2 this is the first time using the split technique but it looks good... The mad stretch I get with the lanky girls has slowed this time and with some cropping I have stopped them growing at around 1.5 metres which lets the untopped BB/NL keep up while sat on upturned pots. Everything is in boring coco perlite pebble mix with boring coco a+b... except into flower when I use some home made crazy shit I make at work! But due to my job and the nature of the business I am in I might as well just type my employers address lol! However I work with chemistry, bacteria, fungus, amino acids, silicates, acids, enzymes, plant extracts and lots more boring poopah! But I do have some fun on my 5 plant test SOG in my attic trying different combinations and some instant death formulas lol!
Anyhow back to the main room... I have a poorly placed (at an angle) large heavy 8" Rhino for the smell and plenty whiplash injuries! Plus a 5 inch Rhino recirculating through 10 metres of ducting. I use a really good home made by an electronics wizard, environmental control system this controls my fans, my seperate 15kw C/H system built just for basement and a Dri-Eaz 1200 dehumidifier, this controls the room to 35 degrees and around 50% RH but I can push the RH to 99% for the first 3 - 4 weeks if I want. The CO2 is in the form of a good old Unis controller set to around number 7 giving 1600ppm and a monitor to keep an eye on things.
I am no expert by any means and all of my crops still test me occasionally. Growing indoors is a joy but heat burn, nutrient imbalance, spider mites, mould, root rot, deficiencies, premature yellowing, clawing, twisting and not budding yet etc etc have all lead to what I have now... And guess what? The results are pretty much the same now when its stuffed in a Rizzla as it was when my finances were forcing me to grow in less than perfect conditions. Good luck and happy times ahead... currently my girls are 21 days into the flip!
