Australia's first hemp paper made from recycled waste water is on the market in Tasmania.
Ten hectares of hemp grown from purified, high nutrient effluent has been produced by the Hemp Co-operative, for Tasmanian Hemp Enterprises.
Brandt Teale from Hemp Enterprises says the product is about turning an environmental problem into a solution.
Brandt Teale: What makes this an Australian first is that it's paper made from crops, not only the fact that they're hemp crops but the fact that they've been irrigated with Council re-use water, it's treated purified effluent. And also the fact that it's paper not produced from wood, from forests and trees, so we think it's a win win situation all round, for the environment and for the economy.
