Help with setting up my first micro-test grow

My first real topic - please be gentle with this old noob. I looked at starting this in the Journals, but since I'm in the pre-journal phase, it seemed better to wait to enter that sub-forum. I'm looking for feedback on a few things given that several aspects are out of my control. Here's my current situation.

Space:
I commandeered the shower area in our workshop. The good: it has water, electricity and a floor drain. Also I don't need to worry about anyone seeing or smelling anything. The bad: It is tiny. It has an 8 ft. ceiling but only about 33" x 33" square floor space (NET) for the actual grow. I have a little extra room for some of my equipment (about another 24" x 33". I tried to get some pictures, but it is so tight, I have a hard time getting anything meaningful. I'm looking to put four pots/plants in there.

Medium:
I have four 7 gallon pots (about 12" diameter and 12" tall) Each is filled with about 1 cubic ft. of rockwool mini Gro Cubes. I have 1-1/2" tall trays for them to act as a bit of a hempy bucket and to let me easily monitor PH of runoff. Or I can let them drain down the floor drain.

Light, Fan, etc:
One 600 watt HPS with hood and cool tube.
440 CFM fan with 6" duct from lamp to outside
Fan control and thermostat
Thermometer and RH meter
Small fan just to move air around in the space

Water and nutrients:
I have a reservoir with pump and bubbler. For my first grow I think I want to use the Gen Hydro Gro/Bloom/Micro or OC+. I have both.
The pump feed a small manifold. I currently have it adjusted to deliver about 750 ml per bucket per hour. At max, I can crank it up to more than 4 litres per hour (per plant).

During the winter I run the light at night. It keeps the space heated. With the fan I can hold the temperature to 75F. During the afternoon when the light is off, temperature cools down about 10 degrees by the time the light kicks back on (for 18/6 - haven't tried it on 12/12 yet). I have a small heater that will keep it warm, if needed.
RH runs about 40% w/light on and gets higher when it is off - up to 60% (during 18/6). During the summer I'll be growing outside.

My first question relates to how thirsty these four ladies are likely to be. I know it is a loaded question, but any guideline or guesstimate would be appreciated. I want to buy my reservoir and size it appropriately. I'll be around for the most part, but out of necessity there will be times (one I gain experience) when I'm gone for a few days. I'd like to have enough water for them while I'm gone. With nothing growing, each Gor cuber bucket can hold about 3.5 liters of water before it runs out the bottom into the tray.

Will this work? Any suggestions? Anything will be greatly appreciated. I'm very excited and hope to begin my actual journal on New Years Day. I've been reading tons on here for the past month +.
I still need to clean up my wiring so nothing is on the floor. I like it neat anyway. These pictures suck, but it is the best I could do. Thank you all very much. Peace.

Controls, etc.

A tight light (I feel like I'm high when I look at this pic'. Something in the ripples/reflections make it look all melted. It isn't like that in person.)

Quick Question Major,

Where is fresh air coming from?

I think your 4 plants will crowd the living daylights out of each other. I personally would only run one plant. Or run one through completion and see how much space she takes and then decide if you have room for more.

Seems you have everything else in check pretty good.

Seems like a lot of light for such a small space.

I have a simular size area and I grow 1 plant with a 400 watt h.i.d. After about 2-3 weeks veg it takes up the whole space.
We most of it anyway.

I like how you set it up :) solo

4 plants in that space is really tight, either do 4 tinier ones or 1 big one imo. It's good you got the temps under control in that tiny of a space, just don't let the temps go below 65F, I think this is the point where they start getting 'stressed'. Mylar looks nice and bright haha. Looks like you have an idea what you're doing :goodjob: Oh what do you have for bug prevention?

Thanks guys - very much appreciated!
I'm using what I had readily available with the idea the operation might expand in the not too distant future. That's the reason for the larger light and fan.
Yes - space is going to be very tight. I was thinking maybe 12/12 grow and try to get more harvests per year - like three or four indoors and one outside.
The air intake isn't shown but it comes in through a duct/register from the shop building.
As for bug control - nothing yet. Any recommendations? I have some of the usual sprays and concentrates for mites, thrips, etc.
I really appreciate the assistance. Lots to learn.
Any ideas about how much water (how big a reservoir) and how often I might be looking at watering using the Gro Cubes given the above temp's? I'll start by hand watering so I'll figure it out eventually, but I'd like to pick up the reservoir soon and get it set up. I just have no idea if I'd be better of with 5 gallons or 50 gallons. If I ever get things dialed in, I'd like to be able to be gone for a few days once in a while. I know poop happens when you're gone, but it can't be helped.

For bugs I used Neem oil in my current grow, haven't seen 1 bug in my tent yet. But I also spayed the room the tent is in with Evergreen pyrethrum dust, I sprayed this stuff into all cracks/crevices for maximum bug protection. I know SNS products are very reliable too

I should be OK then. I have neem and pyretrum.
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.

My first attempt. HELP!?

I don't want to start an official journal. I nearly chucked this grow to cut my losses, but the girls are looking a little better of late. Still not good, but...
If anyone has ideas about what is wrong, I'd appreciate any and all suggestions.

Here is where I'm at:
Originally I had the PH too low at 5.6 (soiless/hydro grow).
PH is now kept at 6.0 +- 0.1.
Gen Hydro Flora nut's per the 420 FAQ topic. Originally about 400 PPM but brought up to 900 PPM as they grew. Cal-Mag with some feedings. I give them 1 gallon of nut' solution about twice per week and let them drain to waste. Roots have looked good when up-potted.

Leaves start out looking pretty good, but never the deep dark waxy green I'm used to seeing. After a while the leaves burn on the tip and then up the edges. Not all leaves but more than a few.
To me it looks like nutrient burn or zinc, calcium, or potassium defecit. But I don't see how with the stuff they have received. The burn has been going on from the beginning. I am now measuring the runoff. It is about 6.2 PH and 700 PPM.
Temps are 68F lights off / 77F lights on. RH is a tough one for me. As low as 26% lights on and mid-60% lights off.

Any ideas? Any more info I can give to help sort it out?
These two pic's are representative. All the plants have similar problems whether in veg or bloom. The top pic is about two weeks into the flip. The bottomn pic is still in veg and was stunted.
