Help! Think I just royally screwed up!

Just went in to check on my girls and realized that a florecent overhead light was left on during what was supposed to be the dark period in my 12/12! They are 2 weeks into the flowering cycle. Will this totally rat-fuck them and make them go hermie? Is there anything that I can do besides wait and see what happens? This is my first grow so am at a loss as far as what to do. Thanks in advance.

I have had the same thing happen to me before and I just went on with my lighting cycle as previosly planed ..... it had no adverse effect but I have heard of some strains being more reactive to light issues.......... white widow had NO adverse effects...................hope this helps merry xmas stay safe and good growin

Hello MrCloner! Thank you for the fast reply! I am growing 2 white widow and the rest are AK-47. Feel like i am about to have a stroke! Panic has set in! I hate the thought of these things going hermie on me after I have gotten them this far! Thank you for the suggestion and info bro! Maybe I need to smoke a bowl and chill out a little. Thanks again!

A one time event should be no problem, just don't make a habit out of it. LOL

Hello Droopydog and thanks for your advice! Just took a few pulls off some Berm Kush and am calming down Guess the worst that is gonna happen is some or all go hermie and I end up with seeds and will need to do a very thurough clean up afterwords to make sure there is no pollen left in my growroom that could effect the next grow. After all I have read about light leaks causing hermies I guess I am extremely paranoid about it and try to take every precaution I can to diminish the chances of that happening.....then I go and leave a light on! Rookie mistake for sure! Thanks again my friend!

Thanks Droopy Dog! I have been thinking about it, and maybe this is the kush I just smoked trying to give me peace of mind, but....the florecent light that was left on, if compared to the intensity of the 1,000 wt hps that the plants are used to, was probably about the equivilent of a full moon. Not sure if a full moon gives off much for lumens, but hey.....it's a thought! lol Thank you for taking the time to help me out and settle my mind!
