Help second time cloning

Good afternoon 420 community!
This is the second time I clone but This time I have ran into some issues. I had cut these babies from 3 Hybrid Apple Fritter Cookies plants. I cut them Dec 5 but I havnt seen any signs of rooting only one of them. The throwing it in a water bottle after cutting method has worked for me before so I tried it again but this time I scraped them on the side on the bottom to help grow roots (so they had told me). I had them in the back in the garage and temperatures had dropped to 45 degrees so I think that had caused them stress. They have yellow discoloring and another one has really dark leaves. Also I’m wondering if the main stem of the clones are too long? If anyone had any recommendations or suggestions feel free to leave a comment I’ll highly appreciate it! I’ll leave pictures below

I’ve never cloned with that method of just placing them in water. I’ve cloned before on plugs with a humidity dome and also with my bubble cloner, which hands down the bubble cloner is the easiest. I also trim all my leaves to make the plant focus on root growth instead of leaf growth. I too sometimes see yellowing of the leaves if there is a little bit of stress. My guess is the drop in temp probably stressed gen out a little bit. Clones and seeds love warmer temps! Hope they turn around for you!

Interesting I think for the next time around I’ll definitly do one of those methods I did some research seems pretty awesome. As far as for these little ladies do you think I can cut off a couple extra leafs off or would that cause them more stress? I moved them into a red cup and covered the rim with caran wrap and construction paper on top so light won’t hit the roots. I placed them inside a styrofoam cooler with a 60w light bulb aswell. I’m open for any other suggestions again thank you for replying btw!

Greetings!

I'd recommend getting a dome w/ tray and some cubes/blocks of your preference and use some sort of roots gel or powder. Both can be bought at your local agway, garden shop or just about any grow shop. The key is to keep humidity and temp comfortably high, then your clones will focus on root development.

Good luck and please keep us posted. I will be following along :)

Thank you so much for the reply!
Will adding the roots gel still be possible to do right now at this stage? i noticed some of them are starting to grow little white bumps on the bottom stem.

Update:
1/1/20
Happy New year to all Hope everyone had a great one with their loved ones. Just wanted to give an update.. I have noticed that some of the bottom stems are beginning to grow some white bumps. I covered the cups with plastic wrap and covered them with black paper. I’m just concerned about the coloring and how the leaves are beginning to fold in. I will post pictures below. Again I’d love to read any suggestions! Be safe out there guys stay medicated
