Hello, Firstly i apologise is this is in the wrong place or something i am new here and am no expert on using this site. My story so far...
i have been growing for about 2-3 years now. About 6-7 grows.. Everytime i have grown i have been very cautious with everything as i like the think of myself as abit of a connoisseur (with smoking at least). Any hoo.. My grow starts fine.. never had a seed not pop.. i buy the best soil.. and well.. i try my best.. no neglecting going on. However everytime i cut the plants down within 2-3 days they go from smelling fruity.. pungent.. sweet.. to DEAD.. and what i would describe as.. Bush grade. Or Sweaty homegrown (which is what is probabaly is). Now i have spent many hours researching this and am aware of the whole... stalk snapping trick... the fan lightly blowing not directly on it... dark room... the let it dry 7-10 days.. then cure... ive tried it all. Same results... Bush grade!!! it just doesnt smell or taste ANYTHING like it did when i cut it down... or just before. I have cured in jars.. for days... weeks... Still nothing. It gets me high.. very high. But i want it to taste good.. and smell good.
Another thing ive noticed is ive grown about 8 different strains.. and theyre all pretty much identicle at the end.. taste and smell the same. May look different. but thats about it. Iv had advice from everyone.. researched everything.. What am i missing... let me talk you through my drying / curing process.. then my setup..
Cut plants down... Cut into Stalks.. Leave to hang upside down 5/10 days until crisp on the outside.. Stick into jar for 12 hours.. open for 12 hours.. close for 12 hours.. open 3-4 hours.. then just open jar daily for 1 hour or so..
Ive also Cut plant into stalks trimmed them right down... hung them.. left until crisp.. similar..
My setup is...
250 hps - Only 2 -3 plants tho...
Fan
Autopot system (only for last grow normal pots before then)
Batshit soil
Oldtimer grow/ Bloom
Plant Magic Platinum
Temp 22-28
co2 bag exhale..
Any help or guidance appreichated.. Sorry if i made a mistake or missed something out.
Many Thanks Louie
