You have a nitrogen, sulfur, or iron deficiency - hard to tell at this stage.

What it means is that it is time to start feeding the clones. Cloning solution would have been a good thing to be feeding all along. At this point though, you may just want to use a straight, but very weak, nutrient solution. Ensure that you have B1 vitamins in it as this will help the plant to take in the nutes.

And, IMO, foliar spraying the leaves makes it harder for the plant to produce roots. Roots are produced because of a water deficit in the plants - originating with the leaves. If you are giving the leaves all the moisture they need, there is no demand on the plant to produce roots. If it was me, I would stop the foliar feeding and start feeding the roots.

Your rockwool cubes also look very wet. You want to wet them down, and then allow them to dry out. I might have just caught you after watering - if so, ignore my comment.

thanks for the quick reply graetlife i thought it was a n def but wasnt sure an wanted to make sure n yes i did jst water before the pic as the cube did look a bit dry wen a got in and it was with about a 6th of the strength of my nutes so will see if that helps and i foilar feed as i do not have a humidity dome only my home made box and as of the purple stems is this normal or part of the rooting process and how could i tell if they have roots wen its not coming through the rockwool thanks

...and as of the purple stems is this normal or part of the rooting process and how could i tell if they have roots wen its not coming through the rockwool thanks

I have actually never seen anyone given a straight answer on this...

Some varieties of herb will naturally have purple stems. Some varieties of herb will only show purple coloration under nutrient stress. The actual decision on whether or not this is a problem depends on knowing the variety that you are dealing with.

An example, I have grown Super Silver Haze several times now - and I clone each time. No matter what - this variety will always get purple stems during the cloning process. It may or may not go away when I start vegging and feeding them properly. I also grow White Widow - and purple stems on this variety indicates that the plant is under duress.

So... with one variety I should take action. With the other variety - I may need to take action depending on when and how the coloration shows up.

I failed at giving a straight-forward answer as well...

I would recommend something like Great White because it will increase the root mass via the fungi and also it contains a nitrogen fixing bacteria which will help with the green.
