Help! Mold growing from the bottom of the pots

Hey,

Iv just started a new grow in a 12 pot IWS flood and drain.

The plants are only in the system 3 days (2weeks old) I took some of the pots out of the buckets today and noticed some light white mold growing out through the holes. Iv never seen this before. What can I do? I've tried to remove as much as possible. Iv searched online and all the advice says to keep them in a well circulated area with low humidity and direct light. I can't do that with this system, it's desgined to keep small amounts of water at the bottom of the bucket to keep the roots moist. How do I prevent mold from growing in this sort of environment ? No lights gets in and no air moving. It's the perfect place for mold. Help!!

Run some h203 through it 1/4 ratio mix per water peroxide .

It should kill but it not prevent. I would look into z7 by flying skull or hydrogaurd ..

Thanks Kingjoe. Looking into the hydrogaurd now. Iv seen people mention h202, is this the same?

Iv ran this system before without any issues so I'm wondering what went wrong. The only thing I can think of was the Gold Label 20/80 hydrocorn coco mix. It was a bag I had left over from my last run and it was left outside in a shed. Could have got moldy, although it looked ok when I was potting them.

But h202 is water. H203 is hydrogen peroxide buddy . pretty dang sure . Rinse it through buddy. It will help . But z7 is what I highly recommend .

@dauzer I really wouldn't leave my media outside in the shed, sure you can clean it before you use it but why invite any kind of Airborne's or critters into your environment.

Could be many of factors make sure your pre flushing your coco if it's come loaded with farts and salts first get your ppm coming out right before you plant .
But h202 is water. H203 is hydrogen peroxide buddy . pretty dang sure . Rinse it through buddy. It will help . But z7 is what I highly recommend .

Thanks man I'll go for the h203 and z7. I have all the pots out of their buckets now. The roots haven't come through the medium yet so I'll get away with leaving them sit out for a few days.

Temps around 26 with humidity below 50%

Your girls look great . defo no issue there anyway .

Bag was still sealed so and my nearest store is about 2hr drive. Thought I got away with it. I won't be making that mistake again .

Thanks Pennywise, is it h2O2 or h2O3? Sorry I don't mean to be correcting anyone, but I'm not sure what it is or where to find it. Been searching online but I can't find any in the UK

I have a 250ml brown bottle which says 6%. What mixture should I use? I see different mixtures depending on the %

I went through all the pots again last night and pulled any mold left with a tweezers. Needless to say it was a late night but hopefully I got it all. I'll flush them today with the h2O3 and I have ordered some z7

If 6% maybe half of that 1/4 ratio?

Only know 3%ratio does take much make sure you stir into water well too I did like two cap full per gallon. It helped

. ill go with the half strength.

They are still young and roots haven't fully formed so hopefully I can give them a quick flush and get back to feeding. I notice the plants that start in soil take off much quicker than my hydro ones. Iv got 2 running at the moment 8 in soil and 12 in flood and drain
