Hello, I Need Help ASAP! Caterpillars ate my plant! Can it be saved?

hello all, i have a big problem. I was hospitalized for a month or so, i had to leave my plant at home. had somwbody to water it twice, but they said.. something is killing it. took pics but i could not tell by the pics, only that it was bad. all my leaved died, now my buds are looking brown and dead. the stems are nice and green still, can it be saved? revegged? i already revegged it one time. this is its second flower this year, was growing rather good, before i fell ill. smh. i found out what happened once i got home 4days ago, catepillars everywhere, just eating away. washed it down, cut the dead leaves off.. all my fan leaves are dead. i just need to know... should i put any more time and energy to try n bring it back, or take the L.

please any advice is appreciated from everyone. i think its dead, but the roots are still white, and the stems are green too, just the fan leaves with the catepillars i cut off, and changed the dirt. i may have made a bad mistake by repotting during the infestation‍. it was so many though, like hundreds, all inthe buds,leaves under and over. here are better explained pics, i tried to explain anyway.‍

pull what you can, repot, rebalance nutes, make sure it is rid of the infestation, and re-veg. i've gone so far as to cut 2/3 of the root mass off and repot. created monster plants after reveg. will take a long time, and may not work.

edit : make sure you friend knows he's on notice lol
