Stay safe, and grow well my friend,

Tok.. :bong:

I have smoked way too many. I was actually slightly active when I was running the whole yellow bottles thing.

Wow, nine posts in 10+ years. That might be a record, lol.

I spent a couple of years in IL, but I was really young - so I don't remember it. I did learn one thing, though: Go Cubbies!

Dealing with fox tails. - I'm thinking 4 weeks or less. Today completes week 8. Blackberry Kush - Non auto - Dark Wizard Genetics. - No where in this place does it smell like berrys.

Trichs are cloudy. 99% cloudy - 1% amber.. ???
I'd give another week, maybe even 2. You don't want to harvest too early & screw yourself out of really good weed after all this time. I've made that mistake a few times being in a hurry. Ended up with weed that got you buzzed for 30 minutes & then you had to smoke again. Rule of thumb is.... "When you think it's done, give it 1 more week." Then you know it's done. I think the smoke is best with 30% - 35% Amber. But I like a heavy full body high so I shoot for a little more amber then most.

Good morning @Bogus Monkey hope your well my friend.
My rule of thumb is never harvest white pistols.
When she is finished flowering and building for you their white pistols turn red and crinkle in, that's how you know flowering is over.
Then check tric's.
You have 2 weeks left before flowering is finished, before I'd even consider harvesting her. :Namaste:
Give her time to finish for you.

Stay safe

So when pistols are no longer white and you look, what do you usually see? Are you saying you pay no attention to trich color? :)

No not at all my friend.
It's just easier for new growers to tell when their ladies have finished flowering by looking at something simple to identify.
I could spend a paragraph explaining bud swelling and all the stages of growth, but for new growers who can't easily identify these stages looking at pistols is easier.
They do nothing but keep looking at tric's and there are more things to consider.
But you are 100% right my friend I should be more in depth in my explanation and include tric's.
I do usually state to check tric's and that clear / cloudy = energetic feeling and cloudy / amber = relaxed feeling.
But I am remiss and thank you for pointing out my omission. :Namaste:
Hope you have a good Day Stone.

And trichome color on the flowers, at that.

I just didn't want to miss something :hookah: Easy is my middle name. That's a perfect intro brother!

Thank You for all of the input. I am about 2 or 3 weeks from having my drying area ready. I do have swollen calyxes. I also have a ton of Foxtails. I am going to wait. I have some time tonight and I was going to research threads here about the things I am looking for. I know I had a couple of nannas somewhere. There was no light pollution and as far a temp flux, if anything, it got too cold and not too hot in there. I was going to post a couple more times on this thread and see about setting up a grow journal. I want to get some proper picts up and the low down of what I am using, system, and light wise. Right now is my second run of Emerald Harvest. It's is OK stuff. Not going to knock it. I did supplement with some technifloral organics to it but not a lot. I have been somewhat disappointed with some of the genetics I have been shipped. Next time should be regular non femmed and I am going to sex and clone before I start the full run. I also am considering a tandem grow with a friend but who knows. I hope I can be more active here.
