I have spent many hours reading and educating myself but this is my first time to actually reach out to others. I'll begin by sharing a little about myself. I was raised in a 420 friendly environment. Being a child of the 70's it's always been an acceptable, normal part of life for me. However, as a successful adult, combating the laws and stipulations in today's invasive society I'm becoming increasingly aggravated with staying true to my roots (no pun intended) and succeeding on a professional level.
I have much experience at "cheating the system" and having done so the past 17 years, I am starting to hit a brick wall. I have no problem in passing a urinalysis. My concern and the uncharted waters for me is the dreaded hair follicle test. I have personal experience working in laboratory settings and I know for fact the masking technique does not work.
I am currently being very selective in where I work but I have a great job opportunity that requires complete invasion of my privacy, I do not know if I will have to submit urine, hair, saliva, sweat or blood. This is totally up to me and I am conflicted, looking for feedback.
I stand by my right to consume in the privacy of my own home, yet this should not keep me from being a productive part of society. I want to take the opportunity and I have the education to be very successful but I do not want to give up my rights to do so. I could continue this rant but for now I will wait for feed back.
