Welcome to 420,Sparrowhawk2010:welcome:

Those buds are kind of odd, looks to be a mutation of some
sort,not necessarily a bad thing,though.
It is going to make trimming the buds a bit more of a chore, though.
Did this plant by chance have 3 leaves per node,as opposed to the normal 2 ?

Hi welcome to the forum, I don't do hydro but I'll go find someone that does for ya. Stay the course and I'll be back hopefully with some good help for ya.

Ya know, only once did I make the mistake of trimming leaved just into flowering, my girl hermied. Ouch!
This may not be the case with you, bit it sure costed me.

Thanks for the invite John, but I’m hempy, a passive hydro method.

What an interesting specimen. :battingeyelashes:, and :welcome: to the :420: community Sparrowhawk2010. I’ve never seen a specimen do this. Maybe we should call in @Rifleman. He may know of someone else, if he can’t help.

Wow.....I've never heard of 4 leaves per node-that's a special lady you've got there!
I just googled it-it's called "Quadrifoliate"-not super rare,but not common,either.

I always do a serious defoliation going into flowering. That’s not what typically causes plants to turn hermie. Typically it’s heavier stress than that.

I was wondering about that, but the seed company I use told me that I stressed it to much. They sent me new seeds anyway.

Welcome to :420: Sparrowhawk, that lady is doing some funky stuff for sure, all those extra leaves are definitely doing their job in feeding the plant, that’s for sure! Looking forward to seeing a journal of this gal, welcome along and cheers mate

What @carcass said. :high-five: I've seen it happen to single buds on a plant, but never a plant covered in them. Pretty cool though.

Well that was mighty neighborly of them. :battingeyelashes: In my short cultivation experience it’s usually either genetics or light stress that does it.

Yep, they tried to tell me it was about light seeking in, but I use MH tent which is pretty darn light proof.
Going to start the replacement seeds tomorrow, let's see what happens.
BTW, my new MH 4'x4'x80 is coming today. I'm excited.

How old is your tent though? With age I have seen the zippers start to leak light

It was brand new.
Lol, had to at least ask, had a buddy with a tent that was almost 10 years old and couldn’t figure out why his plants kept herming, till he camped out in it one night while lights out and saw light leaked everywhere, even in the sides of the tent
