Hello 420,

I am trying to grow medical cannabis and to learn more about the medical effects of cannabis.

I spent an hour on my profile, and now I am going to head over to the Medical forums to see what I can learn there.

A few months ago I tried a grow, but the plants were small and I messed up the drying phase and some of my harvest went moldy.

For Christmas, I got some new growing gear and some seeds, so I'm going to try again; hopefully with better results this time :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone here and seeing what this site has to offer!

Hi @Backlipslide,

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I will read your tips and hints on curing/drying sometime this weekend hopefully. From what I read, I had the heat and humidity too high, and that's why I got mold, oh well, live n learn :)

My friend felt sorry for me and gave me two plants to harvest this week since he has a bunch of them growing in his basement.

So far, he walked me through trimming and cutting down the small one, but he left the big one for me to do by myself tomorrow.

I love NL and they auto version from Oasis Genetics is as good if not better.

That's good to know.

I was reading autos are quick, but my friend has me convinced now that regular seeds are worth trying too.

He gave me some regular Hippie Crippler seeds yesterday to try in my next grow.

The description I read makes me think it will be good for my depression:

It’s an uplifting sativa-dominant hybrid. Patients love this cross of AK-47 and Blue Satellite for its sweet smell and taste.

Hi @SmokeLake,

Do you have any favorite THC or CBD strains yet?
I havnt found my favourite yet although a friend of mine grew a bluedream this past summer that had a low cbd and mid lv thc that I actually enjoyed very much. Im still looking for the holy grail that soothes my mind and body without putting me to sleep. Im involved in the seedsman comparison grow theres a link in my signature DrCBD 30:1 strain almost exclusively cbd I look fwd to finding out how this one works for me. The CriticalPurpleKush should be nice as well though ive been trying to lean away from indica dominate strains to the more sativa ones and hopefully get away from the sleepy effect that I dont care for. Follow along Ill be happy to share my findings. If your in canada I could even share a sample. Last summer I grew PoisonSkunk Ak39(which is nice) and StevesWeed which is an unknown strain from an old toker. My next round of plants to flower will be the DrCBD CriticalPurpleKush and a few CriticalClones a friend shared with me.
GoodLuck in your search any questions feel free to inquire.
:morenutes:

Remember that THC deals with pain in the short term where CBD deals with the inflammation that causes the pain. Look at strains with that have both for both short term relief and long term treatment of inflammation.

That's some great feedback @SmokeLake !

I will start paying more attention to people's signatures now, and pick up on more tips that way.

This site has a lot of info in the forums and I was reading a lot of @SweetSue 's articles on Medical Marijuana yesterday. Tons of good stuff there.

A Seedsman comparison grow sounds interesting so I will take a peek at the link this weekend for sure.

We are up in Barrie Ontario ... and sharing is a great idea ... that's how we met our friend that gave me the plants. We met at the Bradford garden center.

That reminds me, I have to trim that plant tonight and try and greminate some seeds ... I think I drowned the last ones :(

Thanks again @Pennywise, I will remember that.

I clicked on the Seedsman, Sensi Seeds, and Royal Queen seeds links here and browsed their inventory. They have a strain with your name, that's very cool!

Is everyone here this knowledgeable, friendly and eager to share?

I've never run into a site like this before. The other place I was reading an article on had kids I think, and they were really rude with their answers.

Here’s a big list of really well described CBD plants, if your interested. Click here.

penywise explained it perfectly for you!!:high-five:

Very nice link! I have heard of Candida, Royal Medic, and CBD Critical mass from browsing around.

I have slight carpel tunnel, pain in my back and pain in my left leg from work; so I'm hoping this cannabis THC, CBD and terpene knowledge I'm learning will pay off.

I need to learn how to balance them still though.
