"Use insecticidal soap. Insecticidal soaps specially formulated to kill insects and not damage plants are effective if used frequently until the problem is under control. Some researchers recommend adding 1/2 cup of isopropyl alcohol to each quart of insecticidal spray mixture to increase its effectiveness. Insecticidal soaps are considered nontoxic to humans and pets and are very safe for use indoors or outdoors. Some gardeners make a homemade insecticidal soap using a solution of dishwashing soap"
